V... Let's Keep These THREE MEN In Office
JOSEPH OTTO G. A. WORLEY I. R. (RAY) MILLS We earnestly solicit your vote for the re-election of G. A. Worley as your State Attorney. Many of you Coral Gableites will remember the big robbery of Harry Content and Mrs. Bell at the Miami Biltmore, involving $250,000 worth of jewels, in which case Mr. Worley prosecuted and convicted two defendants for this crime. Mr. Worley has also prosecuted many other cases, such as the Cash kidnapping case, in which Franklin McCall was tried, convicted and paid the extreme penalty; the Frazell McLaren case, in which McLaren was tried, convicted and paid the extreme penalty for the killing of your police SERGEANT H. C. BARTON; the Byrd Hudgins case in which he was tried, convicted and sentenced to the electric chair for the brutal slaying of State Highway Patrolman L. P. Daniels. These are only a few of the cases that would be of extreme interest to Coral Gables residents and the south end of Dade County. MR. WORLEY HAS OBTAINED JUDGMENTS FOR $91,554.73 AND ACTUALLY COLLECTED FOR THE TREASURY OF THIS COUNTY $65,117.32 SINCE HE HAS BEEN IN OFFICE. ALL THESE FACTS, AND MANY OTHERS, ARE A MATTER OF RECORD. When you re-elect G. A. Worley you also retain two Coral Gables residents in the office of State Attorney: Joseph Otto, Mr. Worley's Assistant, for 13 years a resident of Coral Gables residing and owning his home at 419 Navarro Avenue, and I. R. (Ray) Mills, Investigator for the State Attorney's Office, former Lieutenant of the Gables Fire Department and a police officer in Coral Gables for many years. Mills has been a constant resident of Coral Gables since 1926, residing and owning his own home at 2601 San Domingo. Mills was a working partner of the late Sergeant H. C. Barton of the Police Department. Paid Political Adv. by Friends in Coral Gables, believers in Good Government and Fair Play

HOW THE New War Conservation Order AFFECTS TELEPHONE SERVICE
To conserve vital war materials, the War Production Board has limited replacements or additions to existing telephone plant equipment. As a result, some types of equipment and services normally provided by the telephone company will not be available to civilians as heretofore. The order is expected to save many thousands of tons of critically needed rubber, copper, zinc, lead, iron, steel and other scarce metals. Southern Bell is complying with the order by doing its utmost in maintenance to achieve the desired results in saving materials. Within the limitations imposed by the order, the Company and its more than 27,000 men and women will continue in every possible way to furnish you dependable, efficient service. We know that we may depend upon your wholehearted cooperation. Southern Bell Telephone and Telegraph Company INCORPORATED
