City Renews Drive Against Low Flying

He called attention to a United States Supreme Court decision in which the court ruled that a property owner had a right to the land which he owed and the air above it to the extent necessary for the use and enjoyment of his property. Violation Charged "We believe that the low-flying plane nuisance violates concepts laid down in this decision," he said. The city manager warned that there will undoubtedly be suits in the courts in the near future by property owners seeking to protect their rights and commented that this contingency "will not be a healthy one for the Port Authority, the airlines or anyone else concerned." "The cities realize that air traffic is a most important part of the economy of the country and do not wish to disturb its progress and expansion, but we feel that our interest must be protected," the city manager told Garsaud. "It is my opinion that the airlines and the Dade County Port Authority can solve this problem and we offer the full cooperation of the city in this effort."
Attend Convention
George B. Caster, president of the Coral Gables Federal Savings and Loan Association and Mrs. Dorothy Bonner, secretary, will return tomorrow from West Palm Beach where they have been attending the state convention of Federal Savings and Loan institutions.
Canadian to Visit
December 5 is a red-letter day on the calendar of Mrs. W. B. Cole, 243 SW 26th Road. That's the day her sister, Mrs. Arthur MacPherson, will arrive from Montreal, Canada for a month's visit.
