NOTICE OF REGISTRATION FOR THE General Election of the CITY OF CORAL GABLES TO BE HELD TUESDAY, JUNE 10, 1941

For the election of three members of the City Commission, and for the designation of a Mayor, for the ensuing two years, from among the cadidates for the office of Commissioner or the continuing members of the Commission. TO QUALIFY TO VOTE IN THIS ELECTION ONE MUST BE 1. A Citizen of the United States of America. 2. Twenty-one years or more of age. 3. A resident of the State of Florida for at least one year, and of the City of Coral Gables for at least six months, immediately prior to the date of registration. 4. Registered as an elector upon the official registration books of the City of Coral Gables. FOR THE REGISTRATION OF PERSONS OTHERWISE QUALIFIED, THE REGISTRATION BOOKS OF THE CITY OF CORAL GABLES WILL BE OPEN, AT THE CITY CLERK'S OFFICE IN THE CITY HALL, From 9:00 o'clock A. M. to 5:00 o'clock P. M. on Thursday, April 24, 1941, and thereafter during the same hours until and including Saturday, May 3, 1941. From 9:00 o'clock A. M. to 9:00 o'clock P. M. on Monday, May 5, 1941, and thereafter during the same hours until and including Thursday, May 8, 1941. REMEMBER THAT REGISTRATION UPON DADE COUNTY'S BOOKS DOES NOT QUALIFY A PERSON TO VOTE IN A CITY ELECTION, BUT PERSONS WHO HAVE PREVIOUSLY REGISTERED ON THE CITY'S BOOKS NEED NOT DO SO AGAIN. IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAW, THE SUPERVISOR OF REGISTRATION HAS PUBLISHED IN THE CORAL GABLES RIVIERA, ISSUE OF APRIL 18TH, AND HAS POSTED AT THE DOOR OF THE CITY HALL A LIST OF NAMES TO BE REMOVED FROM THE REGISTRATION BOOKS OF THE CITY UNLESS THERE IS FURNISHED TO SAID OFFICER, ON OR BEFORE MAY 8TH, 1941, EVIDENCE OF THE CONTINUED QUALIFICATION OF ANY OF THE PERSONS NAMED THEREIN. ALL CITIZENS SHOULD ASCERTAIN WHETHER THEIR NAMES APPEAR IN SUCH LIST, AND ADVISE THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK IMMEDIATELY OF ANY NAMES ERRONEOUSLY INCLUDED. IN THE INTEREST OF FULL PARTICIPATION IN LOCAL DEMOCRATIC GOVERNMENT AT THIS TIME WHEN DEMOCRACY GENERALLY IS BEING PUT TO ITS GREATEST TEST, THE CITY COMMISSION URGES REGISTRATION AND EXERCISE OF THE FRANCHISE OF EVERY CITIZEN.
