First Aid Stations and Personnel Announced for South Miami Area

First aid stations have been established in South Miami under the home and communities division of the Dade County Defense Council. Dr. D. H. Grimes is the sub-general chairman of the district. The Community House has been designated and fitted as an emergency station with a 24-hour schedule. Dr. Winston F. Harrison will be the medical doctor. The following are staff doctors: Dr. Laura Hobbs, Dr. Michael P. de Boe, Dr. Carlos F. Lamar, Dr. Joseph S. Stewart and Dr. Hazel Byrnes. Registered nurses include Mrs. Charlotte Harvey, Mrs. Betty Burroughs, Mrs. Thelma Coleman, Mrs. Frances Darling, Mrs. Jessie Perry and Mrs. Dorothea Wentworth. First aides include Mrs. Florence Glueck, Howard Walton, Mrs. Sylvia G. Martin, Mrs. Delia Wilgand, Walt Lewn, John J. Perry, Robert Joyner, Joseph Stewart, M. J. Beaves, Carl E. Bryngelson and Julius Reddick. The Elementary School on Sunset Drive has also been indicated as a first aid station, with Dr. D. H. Grimes in general charge. Medical doctor will be Dr. W. D. Sigler; staff doctors Dr. W. W. McKibben, Dr. J. C. Sternberg, Dr. dward Kinney and Dr. John E. Kane. Registered nurses include Mrs. Narta Elwell, Mrs. Bessie Hayes, Mrs. Pauline Burgen, Mrs. Elizabeth Miller and Mrs. Grace Hymer. First aides are Mrs. Ruth J. Lord, Mrs. Marvin Johnson, Elworth Lagoy, Jimmy Hughes, John Sherwood, J. L. Redd, Harvey Letaw, Jr., Manuel Ross, Carter Holmes, Gretchen Hayes, Robert Anderson, John J. Bromley, C. H. Cairn, George Gentes, James Adkinson, Mrs. R. M. Bagley, Ben Schuman and G. B. Laurence.

'CHRISTIAN SCIENCE: Its Restorative Mission'

A Lecture on Christian Science Entitled Christian Science: Its Restorative Mission by Earl McCloud, C.S.B. of San Antonio, Texas Member of the Board of Lectureship of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts A lecture on Christian Science, entitled "Christian Science: Its Restorative Mission," was delivered in the beau tiful new church edifice located at 3850 Main Highway, Coconut Grove, March 15, 1942, under the auspices of Second Church of Christ, Scientist, Miami. Earl McCloud, C.B.S., of San Antonio, Texas, was the lecturer. Mr. McCloud is a member of the Board of Lectureship of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. The lecturer spoke substantially as follows: ...
