University Apartment Units Will Open in January

Featuring functional furnishings, the new University of Miami housing apartments are designed with one, two and three bedrooms. The furnishings are strong, light and blend with the modern settings. Plenty of light and fresh air are assured by the large picture windows in each apartment. The student with the book is seated in front of one of the windows, which is covered with a curtain. Designed for comfort and pleasant living, the first unit is expected to open January 15. Rentals Listed For First Apartments Rentals, ranging from $100 to $150 per semester for the first of the University of Miami's $5,000,000 housing units have been announced by William Fisher, director of housing. The first apartments in the buildings, reserved for single men, will be available between January 15 and February 1. Applications for the rooms closed last Saturday and the names of those students whose priority entitles them to occupy the first units will be announced on January 9. Semester rates to be charged, which includes utilities, but do not provide for bed linen, blankets or towels are: 31⁄2 bedroom apartments for seven persons, $125 each; two-bedroom apartments for eight, $100 each; for six, $125 each and for four, $150 each. Excellent study conditions are assured in the bedrooms of the new University of Miami housing units. Adequate space for clothes, books and other equipment is found in the functional walls.
