Convent Retreat Facility Scheduled to Get Underway
A $250-000-plus convent and retreat facility was scheduled to get under way this week at SW 124th St. and SW 73rd Ave. Edward J. Gerritis, of Miami, has been awarded the contract for the two buildings, each 400 feet in length and 40 feet wide, by the Dominican Congregation of St. Catherine De'Ricci, a Catholic order. The entire CBS project entails 94 rooms and an air conditioned chapel. Architect is Thomas J. Madden Jr. Structural engineer Norman J. Dignum and Associates and mechanical engineer, R. L. Duffer and Associates.

Swim Night Planned
Temple Zion Sisterhood invites the public to its Swim Soiree Saturday, July 8 at the home of Mrs. Benjamin Serkin, 6801 S.W. 16 Street. Entertainment, beginning at 8 p.m., will consist of water games, feats of skill, and prizes will be given. Food will be served all evening. Donation is $1.50.
