Faltings Gets Bank Post
A man with 29 years' experience in trust administration and operations has been appointed vice president and trust officer of First Bank and Trust Company of South Miami. He is Robert Faltings, 54, who became an attorney specializing in wills, estates and trusts in New Jersey after spending 13 years in the banking business during which he had become head of operations of the trust department of Passaic National Bank & Trust Co., Passaic, N.J. He came to Florida in 1958 as a trust officer of Miami Beach First National Bank. He is married and lives at 4911 Suarez St., Coral Gables. His appointment as head of the trust department of First Bank & Trust Company of South Miami is part of the South Dade institution's expansion program which includes doubling the bank's plant and facilities during the past two years. George L. Mendes, who formerly headed the trust department, has been appointed senior vice president of First Bank and Trust, assuming general administrative and commercial loan department responsibilities.
