OPTIMISTS FETE THEIR WIVES TUESDAY NIGHT

With two postponements behind them and their third chance coming up, they're going to make a home run. So say the Gables Optimists in reference to their delayed dinner-dance. It'll be ladies' night at the Country Club of Coral Gables when the Optimists get together for their dinner at 7 p.m. Tuesday night. At this time, members' wives will have a chance to get acquainted with their husband's fellow Optimists. William J. Pruitt, prominent Miami attorney, will make an extemporaneous speech to the group. It is hoped that a magician, not yet selected, will be on hand to furnish entertainment. Following the dinner, a dance will be held in the patio from 9 until 12 o'clock. Music will be furnished by Cy Washburn and his band. The entertainment committee for this affair consists of: La Foye Garrett, Ira O. Stewart, and James M. Hess.
