BETWEEN US When Romance Is Over, Make Clean Break
"Dear Nancy: Recently I broke up with a boy I had been going with for two months. We were both fond of each other, but he became tired of dating just one girl. I still like him as much as ever, but he hasn't been to see me in over a month, and he still wears my ring. To top it all, he has been very disagreeable about our break-up, but talks about it to his friends, not me. What do you suggest that I do about this?" It would be better all around if you severed all connections with him. Before things go any farther, see him and ask him to tell you how he feels about everything, and that you'd like to stay friends. As long as your romance is on the rocks, reclaim your ring in a tactful manner, and make it clear to him that you have no bitter feelings toward him, and if he is angry at you in any way, to please tell you so that you might set things straight. Once this thing is over, accept dates from other boys. There's no use in hanging on after it's over, and you may meet someone really worthwhile. "Dear Nancy: I am quite interested in a boy who is younger than I. He is two grades behind me, and my friends think it's wrong for me to go with someone who is a year younger than I. But when senior boys go out with girls younger than they, no one pays any attention. Should I listen to them?" Your dates are your own business. Your friends might give you good advice from time to time, but where your interest lies, it's strictly up to you. If you really like this boy, don't listen to criticism about his grade or his age. If you have fun together and get along well, there's no reason why you should miss that because of that year of difference.

Musical Neighbor
Musical Neighbor. Mrs W. Guy Finn serves as State music chairman for the Florida Federation of Women's Clubs, but still finds time to take an active part in both the music and the general program of the "home" group, the Coral Gables Woman's Club. In between times, the charming Gables woman manages to share her own personal singing talents with her South Florida "neighbors" by appearing as guest artist at club events. It is nothing unusual for the gifted vocalist to appear as soloist at three or four social events during a single week. During the space of seven days recently, Mrs. Finn sang familiar and classic songs at programs of the Housekeepers Club of Coconut Grove, the Coral Gables Music Club — which is also one of her active interests — and before the West Palm Beach Woman's Club
