GABLES GIRL SCOUTS, ALL 11, EMBARK ON 'DETAIL PLUM PUDDING' MONDAY
How will three thousand girls get together to make plum puddings for their mothers' Christmas presents but Troop 275 is not just ANY Scout troop. In the first place, the troop is composed entirely of 11-year-old sixth grade girls at Merrick Demonstration school. But that's not enough. What really is different is the fact that every one of these girls have been together since they entered the first grade. Not only did they wade through their first primary together but they were also Brownie Scouts together. As they gradually edged their way up to the sixth grade, they outgrew their Brownie troop and had to form their own "big girl" Scout troop. Monday, the girls will meet at 3:30 p. m. at the home of one of their leaders, Mrs. R. H. Ebsary, 319 Avenue Mendoza, where they will can plum puddings for their mothers' Christmas presents. Mrs. Claude Nowlin their other Scout leader, will be on hand to help Mrs. Ebsary serve the girls lunches.
Picturesque Church Wedding Unites Miss Marjory Brice And Thomas Charles Marley
-Photo by Le Man In a setting of white gladioli, ferns, palms and lighted cathedral candles, Miss Marjory Alice Brice became the bride of Thomas Charles Marley at seven o'clock last evening in the Coral Gables First Methodist Church. Dr. J. H. Daniel officiated. Mrs. Dorsey Willoughby, organist, and Miss Lillian Wolf, violinist, both friends of the bride, played a program of nuptial music including "O Promise Me" and "I Love You Truly" before the ceremony. The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earle Francis Brice of 803 Alhambra Circle, chose a gown of Chantilly lace made with tiers of the lace ending in a long train. Her veil of illusion was long and caught to the head with a puff of lace. She carried an arm bouquet of white chrysanthemums centered with white orchids. Mrs. Harry W. Craft, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Her gown of orchid and fuschia marquisette was made with full sweep skirt and complemented with orchid mitts and headdress of fuschia horsehair braid and ostrich tips. She carried a handle bouquet of yellow mums tied with gold satin ribbon. Miss Mary Ann Marley, sister of the groom, and Miss Louise Ray were bridesmaids. Their frocks in chartreuse green and grey were made like the matron's and they wore similar headdresses and mitts matching their gowns. Both carried handle bouquets of bronze mums tied with green satin ribbons. Niece Is Flower Girl Carrying a colonial bouquet of yellow pompons, Carolyn Craft, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Blue starched net dress and matching headdress made like those of the bridesmaids completed her costume. James K. Dunaway was best man for Mr. Marley and ushers were Robert Marley, brother of the bridegroom, and Ross Clarke Jr. The bride's mother was attired in aqua crepe gown with gold sequins and gold accessories, wore an orchid corsage. A reception at the Brice home followed the ceremony. The bride is a graduate of Miami Senior High school and National Park College, Washington, D. C. She received her B. S. degree at the University of Miami and did post-graduate work at Columbia University. Mr. Marley, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles K.
