Christian Science Lesson-Sermon Is Announced
First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Coral Gables is opposite City Hall Park. Morning service, 11 a. m. Evening service, 8 p. m. Sunday school 11 a. m. Wednesday evening 8 o'clock. "Christian Science" is the subject of the lesson-sermon which will be read in Churches of Christ, Scientist, throughout the world on Sunday, December 28. The Golden text is: "The glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it." (Isaiah 40:5). Among the citations which comprise the lesson-sermon is the following from the Bible: "O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph . . . For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding" (Psalms 47: 1, 7). The lesson-sermon also includes the following passage from the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy: "Heaven represents harmony, and divine Science interprets the Principle of heavenly harmony. The great miracle, to human sense, is divine love, and the grand necessity of existence is to gain the true idea of what constitutes the kingdom of heaven in man." (560: 10-15).
