Diana Lee Ellison Is Now Mrs. Duke
A high school romance led the former Diana Lee Ellison and Colonal Howard Duke Jr. to the altar Saturday at the West End Church of Christ. The bride is the daughter of Harold L. Ellison of 6756 SW 25th St., and the late Mrs. Ellison. The bridegroom is the son of the senior Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Duke of 7100 SW 22nd St. For her wedding the bride chose a ballerina length gown of white Chantilly lace and silk organza. Made along princess lines, the molded bodice had a scalloped low neckline etched in pearls and sequins, the sleeves long with point-on-hand. Her fingertip veil of illusion fell from a high-pointed crown accented with a teardrop pearl in front. She carried white roses and orchids bouquet. Matron of Honor Mrs. Beatrice Ashby, the groom's sister, was matron of honor. Her ballerina length gown was developed in ice blue organza with matching jacket. Bridesmaids were Effie Drawdy and Mary Duke, younger sister of the groom. They wore matching dresses of ice blue organza over satin designed with a fitted bodice of darker blue with dark blue flowers embroidered on the sleeves. All attendants carried bouquets of blue etched carnations and wore matching headpieces with short veils. Delbert Ashby, brother-in-law of the groom, was best man. Ushers were Richard Bennett and Kip Hutchinson. Candlelight Rites Evangelist Tuck Andrews officiated at the 7:30 p.m. service. The couple exchanged rings in candlelight ceremonies. The reception followed at the home of the bridegroom's parents. The bride was graduated from Southwest High School. The bridegroom also was graduated from Southwest. After a wedding trip through Florida the couple will reside at 7585 SW 28th Ter. MRS. COLONAL HOWARD DUKE JR.

Golfers At Riviera Announce Officers
Mrs. A. M. Franklin was elected chairman of the Riviera Country Club Women's Golf Association at its anual meeting and luncheon held Tuesday, following a nine hole low net tournament. Mrs. Franklin is the 14th chairman elected since the association was formed in 1947. Mrs. Phil J. Laurence was elected golf chairman. Other officers elected were Mrs. Robert C. Piper, secretary and Mrs. David L. Hufzman, treasurer. Chairmen Named Chairmen named are Mrs. Ernest Hlewett, publicity; Mrs. A. L. Lancaster, hostess; Mrs. R. C. Houser, prizes; Mrs. John Vines Hardeman, year book; Mrs. Charles Zablocki, Sunday events; Mrs. George Duvall, historian; Mrs. Thomas Cook, social; Mrs. Otis Dunan, handicap; Mrs. Gene Goble, ringer, and Mrs. E. E. Butler Jr., tournament. Prizes were also awarded those tournament players who have won one or no prizes during the year. They were Mrs. Gene Goble and Mrs. Jack Straessley, who broke 90; Mrs. John McKinley, Mrs. R. C. Houser and Mrs. Ben Fuqua, who broke 100. Their scores were 96, 99 and 98 respectively. Rules For Procedure Mrs. L. W. Dowlen and Mrs. Phil J. Laurence, who had been asked to go over the Rules for Procedure made their report. The club reports 138 members in the WGA of the Riviera Country Club. In the Tuesday tournament, Mrs. Henry Russell won in Class A with a 43; Mrs. Sam Anderson won in Class B with a [TEXT LOST] and in a tie for second place with a 43 score were Mrs. John Ajac and Mrs. Beryl Thouvenelle. In Class C, three members, Mrs. Francis Sams, Mrs. Harold Hausmann and Mrs. Harvey Elwood, tied with a 43. MRS. A. M. FRANKLIN
