Newlyweds Take Trip To Switzerland
On a wedding trip to Switzerland are Mr. and Mrs. Robert James Hundley, whose wedding took place Saturday, Oct. 8, at Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church. The bride, the former Roberta Ann Zwahlen, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Zwahlen of 6340 West 8th Ave., Hialeah. The bridegroom who resided at 11740 SW 189th St., is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sheppey Joseph Hundley of Beachwood, N. J. The Rev. John H. O'Shea officiated at the 10 a.m. ceremony. Bride's Gown Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a bridal gown of peau de soie and imported Chantilly lace made with fitted bodice with Sabrina neckline and long fitted sleeves of the lace. The full skirt of the peau de soie was accented with hand clipped lace ruffles flowing from the waist into a chapel train. Her many-tiered silk illusion veil fell from a crown of seed pearls. She carried a Rosary entertwined with garnet sweetheart rosebuds with a pearl crucifix. The bride's sister, Mrs. William E. Merritt Jr., matron of honor, wore emerald green silk designed with Chantilly lace bodice with a tired silk organza, waltz length skirt. Her hat and shoes matched, and she carried an arm bouquet of coral anthuriums. Mrs. Diane O'Steen, Mrs. Roger Reece and Mrs. Ann Bieringer were bridesmaids, and Virginia Lee Zwahlen was junior bridesmaids. They wore shrimp silk organza and Chantilly lace ensembles made similar to the maid of honor's gown, with matching hat and shoes. They carried coral Anthurium bouquets. Best Man Shelly Joseph Hundley was best man for his son. Ushers were Michael Kevorkian, Christopher Ward, Charles Schmaltzreid and William E. Merritt Jr. They wore formal cutaways. The reception followed the nuptials at the Lions Club, 4343 NW 17th Ave. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Zwahlen chose a pink beige sheath dress of taffeta and silk organza made waltz length and trimmed with flowing panel of the organza from the back of the waist. Her hat and gloves matched. Mother of the groom chose an imported sugar blue Swiss lace lined tulle gown designed with fitted bodice and softly draped skirt inserted with satin triangles. Her hat of net with a cluster of softly shaded feathers formed a pill box, and she wore matching accessories. Both matrons wore orchids. Among out-of-town guests were Mrs. Felicia Duer and Miss Ann Lindeke of Greenville, S.C. The bride is a graduate of Charles L. Coon High School, Wilson, N. C. and University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, N. C., where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority and The Tidemen Skin Divers Club. The groom was graduated from St. Benedicts, Newark, N. J. Newlyweds Leave On Trip To Nassau
Off on a honeymoon trip to Nassau are Mr. and Mrs. David L. Willis, whose wedding took place Saturday, Oct. 15, at the First Methodist Church of Coral Gables. The bride is the former Jean Hanson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell R. Vance of 7390 SW 38th St. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George G. Willis of 8261 SW 33rd Ter. Bride's Gown Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor length white satin sheath with full overskirt, falling gracefully in cocktail length. The low cut molded bodice had bracelet length sleeves. Her many-tiered short veil of imported silk illusion fell from a Dior bow of the satin. She carried a bouquet of white stephanotis and Phalaenopsis orchids. Mrs. John D. Cameron of Miami, paternal aunt of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Joanne Bampfield of West Palm Beach and Miss Christa Engelage of Miami Beach. They wore identical gowns made sheath style in Sapphire blue pure silk faille, with scoop neckline and bracelet length sleeves. Matching petal bands and tiny nose veils completed their ensembles. They carried Strelitzia (Bird of Paradise) bouquets. George G. Willis, the groom's father, was best man. Ushers were Robert T. Hornsby, Richard G. Gutteridge and Robert A. Valois, all of Miami. Dr. Lewis N. Head officiated at the 8 p.m. double ring candlelight service. The reception followed in the church's reception hall. Candlelight Service The bride's mother wore a French lime silk peau de soie made tunic style with lace motifs and a matching veil head piece. Her flowers were Cymbidium orchids. The bridegroom's mother wore a pink pure silk embroidered sheath gown. Her accessories matched, and her corsage was Phalaenopsis orchids. The bride was graduated from Coral Gables High School and Mt. Sinai Hospital's School of Practical Nursing. The bridegroom was graduated from Coral Gables High School and attended the University of Miami. He is presently a contact man with the Florida Power and Light Company in customer's service. Among the pre-nuptial parties given for the bride were two showers and a shower given by Mrs. Jean Dentster, a nurse associate. Hosts for the rehearsal dinner were Mr. and Mrs. George G. DAR Chapter Resumes Meetings
The first fall meeting of the Cape Florida Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution was held at the home of Mrs. Robert B. Cole, 1124 Valencia Ave., on Oct. 18 at 2 p.m. Mrs. Ellen H. Miller, a chapter member, spoke on "Oddities in Conservation". Mrs. Miller has been speaking before garden clubs for eight years. Her interest in gardening led to her concern about conservation. Her topic included the subject of salt water intrusion in Dade County and some of the amazing laws that are on the statute books throughout the country in regard to conservation. The Regent, Mrs. Edward M. Grout, presided.
Kendall Garden Club
members and guests enjoyed a covered dish luncheon and swim party recently at the home of Mrs. C. E. Lawrence, 7130 Hardee Dr., with Mrs. E. R. Henry as co-hostess. Speaker was Mrs. Charles E. McWethy, who spoke on "Color Effects."

Churchwomen Will Be Fashion Models
A fashion show-luncheon is being planned by the Women's Fellowship of Christ Congregational Church, 14920 Ludlam Road, near King's Bay, for Saturday, Nov. 19, at the Suniland Banquet hall. Holiday and winter fashions will be shown. Mrs. Staples Pierce and Mrs. Robert Keyser are the coordinators. Styles will be modeled by the following members of the Fellowship: Mrs. Gordon Reynolds, Mrs. Carolyn Reed, Mrs. Philip Braden, Mrs. Douglas Cooper, Mrs. Marion Megathlin, Mrs. Bryan Donaldson and the Misses Susan cameron and Diane Keyser. Tickets may be obtained by contacting the ticket chairman, Mrs. James Haynes, at CE 5-4307. The donation is $2. Proceeds will benefit the church building fund. A chapel will be built on the six acres of church property on Ludlam Road adjacent to the Cutler Cove School sometime next year.
Preliminary plans for the chapel, submitted by Leroy K. Albert, were approved by the congregation at a meeting Sunday evening. Rev. T. N. Tiemeyt is pastor.
Of 192,000 acres planted in oats in Florida last year, all but 27,000 acres were pastured. This remainder was harvested for grain.
