Jewish Vets Plan Party August 10
Members of the West Miami Post No. 223, Jewish War Veterans, will gather at the Regal Brewery Aug. 10, as the culmination of the post's summer membership drive, accordingto James Stern, First Junior Vice Commander in charge of membership. "We are very proud and pleased to report an enrollment of 86 paid-up members, comprised of veterans from the entire South Dade area," said Commander Murray Dronsky. "The committee, headed by Stern and Max Rubin, has been working hard to provide an evening of food, fun and frivolity." Al Leibert, WKAT radio disc jockey, will be guest personality that evening.

Boy Scout Troop 43 Celebrates 33rd Year
Boy Scouts of America Troop 43 celebrated its 33rd anniversary at a special recognition program held at the American Legion Post No. 98 Home on July 19. Highlight of the evening was presentation of an award of recognition to T. R. Greenaway, who has been active with the troop for over 10 years and is currently serving as Scoutmaster. Also recognized as a new troop No. 358, located in South Miami Heights, and which was organized under the guidance of Troop 43. Presentation of the new charter 1961-62 was made by a national Scout executive. New colors were also presented. Committeeman W. E. Stanley said, "The Troop has worked hard all year and many of the good people of Coral Gables have worked with and encouraged them. We wish to thank these people for the time and interest they have given us." Troop 43 was founded December 25, 1927. Members of the troop are Donald Dowdell, 504 Boabadilla St.; James H.
