The Lloyd Allan Solies On Honeymoon in Florida
MRS. LLOYD A. SOLIE On an up-state honeymoon are Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Allan Solie following their Dec. 28 wedding at the First Methodist Church of Coral Gables. The bride is the former Miss Carolyn Marie Jones, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin F. Jones, of 10701 SW 60th Ave. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd H. Solie of 5945 SW 94th St. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor-length bridal gown of Italian silk designed with fitted bodice and cap sleeves embroidered in Alencon lace and sequins. The bouffant skirt was caught in bustle fashion and her voluminnous veil fell from a cap of the lace. She carried white orchids and carnations. The bride was attended by Miss Barbara Lee Jones, honor maid, and Miss Elizabeth Joanne Solie, bridesmaid. They wore identical gowns of pink chiffon over silk, made ballerina length with matching accessories. They carried pink carnations. The father of the groom was best man and ushers were John C. Murray, James Catlin and Brace B. Boone Jr. The Rev. M. S. McCastlain officiated at the 7:30 p.m. ceremony and the reception followed at the Coral Gables Country Club. Mother of the bride wore a periwinkle blue brocade gown with matching accessories. Mother of the groom was in blue-lavender Italian silk with matching accessories. Both wore white orchids. The bride was graduated from Coral Gables High School, attended Florida State University and was graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder, Colo., her sorority, Delta Gamma. The groom, a graduate of Coral Gables High School, attended Presbyterian College, Clinton, S.C., and was graduated from the University of Miami, where he was a member of Sigma Chi social fraternity and Scabbard and Blade. The couple will reside at Camp Wolters, Texas.
