The objectives of the school are: To meet the immediate needs of the child; widen his experiences, help him to interpret them and to acquire knowledge and attitudes which will enrich his present and future life. To provide a program flexible enough to give each child ample opportunity to use his capacities positively and to develop physically, intellectually, socially, and emotionally to the fullest possible extent. • Traditional education with reading, writing, arithmetic, English and discipline emphasized. • Fully certified staff, with small teacher-pupil ratio. Good table manners are an important part of the behavior and courtesy training which the children receive. • All Day School children, Nursery through Senior Kindergarten, take a nap immediately after lunch. Each child is provided with a child-size aluminum cot which is covered with a clean sheet. • The children are under constant supervision both indoors and outdoors. All play equipment is selected with safety in mind and only proper and safe use is permitted. • The Playhouse & Biltmore School is fully accredited by: The Florida Council of Independent Schools, the Association of Independent Schools of Florida, Inc. and the Florida Kindergarten Council.
