Wreck Cause Is Unclear
Police are still trying to determine whether Paul Zubi, 53, of 1120 NW 37th Ave., died of a heart attack suffered while driving or as a result of injuries and the attack following an accident Friday in the 400 block of Monserrate St. Zubi died at 10:15 p.m., more than two hours after his car went out of control while he was going east of Bird Rd. He crashed into a tree after cutting a swath through eight-foot high hibiscus hedges at 4001 Anderson Rd. and near the tree. His 1959 sedan was demolished in the accident, according to Officer Thomas D. Quirk, who investigated the accident.

Deaths in the Gables Neil U. Warde Of Santillane
Services for Neil U. Warde, 80, of 19 Santillane Ave., were held Dec. 21 at Van Orsdel's Coral Gables Chapel. Mr. Warde died Dec. 19. He came here two years ago from Hartsdale, N.Y. Survivors are his wife, Lorraine; son, Neil Jr.; and a brother, Paul, all of Coral Gables.
Walter Wilson, Prof & Realtor
Walter M. Wilson, 234 Santillane Ave., was buried at Woodlawn Cemetery Thursday following services at Philbrick's Coral Gables Funeral Home. Mr. Wilson, a former University of Miami professor of real estate and insurance man, died Dec. 21. He came here from Atlanta, in 1926 where he had been associated with Columbia Trust Co. He joined Baldwin Mortgage Co. and was president of Mortgage Bankers Association in 1941. Mr. Wilson, a Spanish-American War Veteran, was past commander of the John J. Pershing Camp of the United Spanish War Veterans. He is survived by his wife, Katherine; two brothers, Arthur, of St. Petersburg, and George, of Washington, D.C.; two sisters, Miss Alda Wilson, and Mrs. Louise Robinson, of Richmond, Va.
Mrs. Payzant, Here 13 Years
Services for Mrs. Isabella J. Payzant, of 526 Catalonia Ave., who died Wednesday of last week were held Saturday morning at Combs' Coral Gables Chapel. She came here 13 years ago from Atlanta. Surviving is a son, John, of Coral Gables.
Mrs. Safie, 63; Lived on Riviera
Services for Mrs. Theresa Safie, 63, of 3214 Riviera Dr., were held Tuesday at St. George's Syrian Orthodox Church. She died Sunday. Mrs. Safie came here seven years ago from New York and was a member of the Syrian-Lebanon-American Club. She is survived by her husband, Alex; four sons, Elias, Joseph, Victor and Alex; four daughters, Mrs. Victor Zedan, Mr. Joseph Handal, Mrs. Marco Samour and Mrs. Juan Katten, all of the Miami area, and 26 grandchildren.
W. C. Skafte; Was From Flint
Services for William C. Skafte, 67, of 512 Zamora Ave., who died Sunday, were held at Philbrick's Coral Gables Chapel Tuesday. Entombment followed at Flagler Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Skafte came here 13 years ago from Flint, Mich. He was a 32nd degree Mason, a Shriner and an Elk. Surviving are his wife, Helen G.; three sisters, Mrs. James Blauch, of Van Nuys, Calif., Mrs. Louise Engelbritson, of Duluth, Minn., and Mrs. Juius Christianson, of Nema, Wis.; and two brothers, Louis, of Duluth, and Norman of Minneapolis.
Methodists' Youth Night
The annual Student Recognition Banquet at Coral Gables Methodist Church will be held Sunday. The banquet, sponsored by WSES, will be followed by a Student-Recognition service in the Sanctuary at 7:30. The following students will be in the service: McIver Speights, a senior at Florida Southern; Brice Harris, a junior at the University of Miami; Robert Kuyper, a sophomore at Emory-at-Oxford; and Howard Hanger, a freshman at Emory University.
