New Classes Forming At Center for 1962

Classes in Spanish, sewing and fencing beginning next week at the Coral Gables youth center are but a few of the many classes scheduled for January. Spanish classes ranging from beginner to advance will be offered both day and evening. They started Jan. 2 and end April 30. Fencing for beginners also began Jan. 2 and runs for eight weeks. Sewing starts today, Jan. 4. Red Cross first aid, a 10-hour regulation course will be given in January from 10 to 12 noon. Dates will be announced. Beginning bridge class will start Jan. 10. Business training studies and secretarial training also begin in January. Dates will be announced. Five different classes in creative writing begin Jan. 15. and registration for the 13-week session can be made now. The regular children's program is scheduled for Jan. 29 through May 19. The Youth Center Office is open Monday through Saturday. You may call HI 8-2567 for registration and further information.

2 Robberies Reported In Gables

Two robberies have been reported by Gables police recently. Flagler Finance Co., 3634 West Flagler St., reported being robbed of $200 Friday afternoon by a white youth who used a snub-nosed .32 caliber revolver. Monday morning at 2 a.m., two Negroes walked into the Union gas station at 199 South Dixie Hwy., and said they wanted a fan belt, but what they really wanted was $30 in bills and change from the attendant, Joseph Gay, of 5790 SW Fifth St. They knocked Gay's glasses off and held him down while they took the money. Then they ran off.

For example, this week's special includes a glass of orange juice, 2 eggs served in a skillet, grits, potatoes, toast, and a cup of coffee - 48c. LUNCH Delicious luncheons are available from 65c. A complete meal includes an appetizer, sandwich or hot plate, and a refreshing glass of ice tea. The Skillet is also well known for their fine beef burgers, club sandwiches and salads. Popular during the lunch hours are soft drinks, milk shakes, and ice cream delights. DINNER The evening meals are excellent! The Chef takes personal pride in every dish that leaves his kitchen. Complete dinner from $1.25 includes an appetizer, green salad with a choice of dressing, two vegetables, coffee and desert. The evening menu is changed daily and may range from Hungarian Beef Goulash to Roast Turkey. Also included on the menu is A La Carte dinners priced from 85c.
