EDITOR: If a colored picture of the Christmas scene at night of the carnival in Merrick Park were made available on post cards, their wide circulation would do much to advertise the beauty of Coral Gables. ROBERT H. THRONE 417 Santander Ave.
Lightup for Blackout
The light gap on Le Jeune Road will be closed, Mayor Robert L. Searle told the City Commission Tuesday. Searle said he had been informed by the County that the eight-block area between Mendoza Avenue and Tamiami Trail will be lighted. The stretch had been forgotten in the Le Jeune widening project. Coral Gables paid approximately $31,000 to light its own way. Metro has appropriated $14,000 for its stretch of the project.
