"Dropped out of the Chamber three years ago — too expensive." "In the office only once a week." "Out of business." "Try next year." "New in business, not in a position become a member now." "Will have to get okay from home office." "Business is slow this year, will join next year." "Not interested at all." "Thinking it over." "Too busy to discuss it." "I have no interest in the Chamber." "Temporarily withdrawing from civic organizations." "Concentrating on anti-Communism campaign." "Failed to get bad check relay." "Too little tangible results." "Dissatisfied with parking meters and overtime parking fines." "Don't understand purpose of Chamber." "Trouble with city about air conditioners, almost out of business." "I was a member for 20 years. Stopped paying dues because of a disagreement within the (Ponce de Leon) Beautification Committee." "Our lack of business is distressing right now. Would like to join but can't." "No!" "I used to be a member. It's a good thing. I just don't want to be in." "Chamber is backward . . . Ignores the little man and devotes interest to Miracle Mile." "Too much commerce." "Dominated by merchants." "Was a member but lost interest after Giralda was made one way." "$50 dues excessive." "I can't think of a reason, but the answer is specifically no" "I get nothing out of it." "Against company policy."
