MRS. BERTRAM TOWER

The Bertram Towers Will Live in Gables

On a honeymoon trip to Nassau are Mr. and Mrs. Bertram Tower, whose wedding took place Sunday at the Du Pont Plaza Hotel. They will reside in Coral Gables. The bride, the former Miss Toby Joyce Lerner, is the daughter of Mrs. Max Lerner of 1844 SW 24th Ter., and the late Mr. Lerner. The groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Martin Tower of Hialeah. Given in marriage by her uncle, Irving Rosen, the bride wore a gown of white peau de soie made with fitted bodice, etched in satin bow-knots, empire skirt enhanced by a bow in the back and the skirt falling to a chapel train. Her double illusion veil fell from a caplet of lace and seed pearl trim with crystal drop. Her bouquet was white roses and orchids. Miss Jane Safer and Miss Sandra Brawer were bridesmaids and Phyliss Sue Daum was flower girl. The maids wore identical gowns of blue slipper satin with matching headpieces. David Tower was best man. Ushers were Jerome Rosen and Melvin Hecht. Rabbi Norman Shapiro officiated at the 8 p.m. ceremony and the reception followed the service in the Starlight Room of the hotel. Mother of the bride wore a beige silk sheath gown accented with beige lace and matching accessories. Mother of the groom wore a royal blue lace gown with matching accessories and both matrons wore white orchids. The bride is a graduate of Miami High School where she belonged to National Thespian Society. She is also a member of Hillel B'nai B'rith. She is an X-ray student at Mercy Hospital. The groom graduated at Miami Senior High School and attended the University of Miami. He is with Tower Paint Co.
