St. Stephen's Village Fair To Be Presented Oct. 22

Many long and hard hours of work have been put in at the St. Stephen's Parish—and all by women—as they prepare for the Village Fair, Oct. 22, at 10 a.m. This all-day event is the only money-raising project used by the women to provide funds for their vitally important parish work. Mrs. Raymond Denham, director of the affair, reports that this year's Village Fair will have everything from a "Good Humor Wagon" to a stage show. As work continues, various committees report that progress is very good. Mrs. Albert Seabeck [?] shop and Mrs. George Hays, white elephant shop, have their [?goods?] ready and are taking donations for them. Anyone wishing to make a contribution to these two booths, should take their articles to the church each Thursday morning. For the people with big appetites, Mrs. Richard Dorsey and Mrs. Frank Thomas, are planning some real "goodies" in the form of sandwiches, salads and cold drinks.
