Tequesta Will Have Annual Fashion Show

Tequesta Society, Children of the American Revolution, will have its annual fashion show on Saturday, Nov. 5, at 2 pm, at the home of Jode Preston. Tequesta is sponsored by the Coral Gables Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution. Mrs. Thomas S. Gowin is Regent. Mrs. Edwin P. Preston is senior president of the CAR, Betsy Henry is the junior president. Peggy Gillmer is in charge of the fashion show. Tequesta has many activities (i.e. visits to the Kendall Old Folks Home, support of mountain schools, a George Washington Ball in February and an installation luncheon in the spring) supported by this one-money-making project. Tequesta Society has over 120 members and will soon become the largest society of the National Society Children of the American Revolution. Two members, Jode Preston and Peggy Gillmer, are serving the state society as librarian - curator and corresponding secretary, respectively.
