She carried an arm bouquet of red carnations. The groom's father, Kenneth Baker, was best man. Usher was Richard Bates, brother of the bride. Garden Club Plans First Public Show

The Coral Gables Garden Club will stage its first public flower show on Feb. 24 and 25 in the Masonic Temple, 41 Valencia Ave., Mrs. Malcolm Lovell, president, has announced today. The permanent chairman of the show, Mrs. Bowman S. Hinckley, points out that the Coral Gables group has the largest membership of any garden club in Florida. At the Metropolitan show last winter, the Gableites won the tri-color—the show's highest award. They also won the award for the best individual garden exhibit, the most ribbons and the greatest number of points in the history of the Metropolitan show. "All the know-how and enthusiasm which went into the winning of these awards will this year be concentrated on making the Coral Gables show the outstanding floral event of the season", Mrs. Hinckley promises. City-wide participation is indicated. City government has promised the full support of its Parks Department. Coral Gables merchants are planning special tie-ins to spot-light attention on the show. "It will be a community effort—a salute to our city beautiful," Mrs. Hinckley concludes.
