Burdine’s Seeking Bids On 2 Stories at Dadeland
Bids on the new two-story, 309 by 242-foot Burdine’s department store in Dadeland Shopping Center are now being received and are scheduled to be opened July 27. Owned by Federated Department Stores, Inc., the new store will be the major unit of the multi-million dollar shopping center located at SW 88th St. and 75th Ave. Six buildings, costing $1.9 million and owned by the Meyerhoff Corp. are scheduled to get underway next month. Between 56-57 individual stores, including a Food Fair, are included in that portion of the center project. Architect for the new Burdine’s is Weed-Johnson Associates, of Miami. Engineer is J. Ross Associates, of Miami; Consulting engineers Ebner Associates, of New York City.
