MRS. JOHN B. DECKERS Joan Galvin Now Mrs. Deckers

Mr. and Mrs. Irving H. Galvin of 3101 S.W. 103rd Ct., announce the marriage of their daughter, Joan Marie, to John B. Deckers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jules Jacobs of Oak Hill, N.Y. The wedding took place Saturday at St. Brendan's Roman Catholic Church, with Father Jerome Martin officiating at the 10 a.m. double ring ceremony. The bride, given in marriage by her father wore a bridal gown of silk organza and imported Chantilly lace, designed with Sabrina neck line, brief sleeves, and lace mitts. The full bouffant lace trimmed skirt swept into a regal train and her silk illusion veil fell from a plateau styled cap. Miss Diane Scanlon, was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Miss Donna Galvin, of Ashland, Mass., Miss Ilona Oeltze, of Union City, N.J., Judith Anne Galvin, sister of the bride was flower girl. The attendants wore gowns made alike of pure silk organza with lace bodice and full princess skirts with matching Dior bows in their hair. The honor maid wore pink and the maids aqua. Ernest Gelinas, John Evers, and Robert Futch, were ushers, and Thomas G. Slovak, attended the groom as best man. The reception followed and as held in the Starlight room of the Biscayne Terrace Hotel. After a tour of the New England States and New York City, the couple will reside at 10750 S.W. 49th Ter. The bride attended Jefferson High School, San Antonio, Texas and South Broward High, Hollywood, Fla. The groom attended Greenville High School, Oakhill, N.Y., and the University of Miami.

Dunmire...Motor-Doctor To Many With Expert Service, Best Equipment

An Electronic DuMont Engine Analyzer tells a car's exact ignition trouble in a matter of minutes. Ordinary methods of testing take much longer. This machine saves many dollars on repair bills by pinpointing the trouble in a hurry. Fouled plugs, the early stages of points burning and improper point settings are immediately recognizable. The cost for this amazing analysis is a low $2.00. Engine tune-up charges vary with cars and the work required. After the tune-up, the Analyzer once again is attached to the engine to assure the accuracy of the adjustments. Other latest equipment includes a 1956 model, John Bean Visualiner for wheel alignment. From a mirror beside the auto wheel, two circles of light reflect on a calibrated chart, showing exactly how far the wheel is out of line. Variations from 1/2" to 4" can be registered with the highest degree of accuracy. This eliminates the need for time consuming measuring on this job. Each car is corrected to the manufacturer's specifications. A Stewart Warner Wheel Balancer also is used on wheel work. All the latest equipment is of no use, if the mechanic does not know his business, too. Dunmire is the conscientious type who makes sure that he knows what he is doing before he starts a job. Beginning with training and work as a mechanic in Detroit, he added to his knowledge by taking training on airplane engines, when becoming a private pilot at Wayne, Mich. Always alert to new developments, Dunmire has added to his knowledge in many ways. He is a graduate trainee of the Carter Carburetor School, the Sun Electric Training School in Detroit, the modern Engine Tune-up Course of the Lindsey Hopkins School and other mechanical courses. As a member of the United Motors Service, he receives all current technical information on General Motors cars. The integrity and quality of the work done at Dunmire's Garage has brought him an extensive clientele of women who, with no men in the family to advise them, depend upon Dunmire to keep their cars in perfect running order.
