McGee Wedding Saturday; They Honeymoon in N.C.
On a honeymoon trip to the North Carolina mountains are Mr. and Mrs. James Richard McGee. Their wedding took place Saturday at the University Christian Church. The bride, the former Miss Dianne Alice Tallman, is the daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Arthur L. Tallman, of 6301 SW 112th St. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. McGee, of 519 SW 13th Ave. Given in marriage by her father the bride wore a bridal gown designed and made by her mother, of nylon over marquisette, princess style with bodice and sleeves of French reembroidered lace. Her voluminous veil fell from a crown of pearls and she carried a bouquet of lilies of the valley, stephanotis and a single white orchid. Mrs. William McGee was matron of honor and bridesmaids were Miss Roberta Inman and Miss Jacelyn Hasell, both of South Miami. They wore identical gowns of wood violet nylon chiffon. They wore caplets of net over violet headpieces, and carried white carnations with touches of yellow. William McGee was best man for his brother. Ushers were Leo Asobgast and James Gammon. The Rev. Larry W. Witley officiated at the double ring, 7:30 p.m. ceremony and the reception took place at the home of the bride's parents. The bride's mother wore a mauve lace gown and the mother of the groom was in a blue print chiffon gown. Both matrons wore orchids. The bride is a graduate of Palmetto High School where she was named the school's "Sweetheart of '60," and in 1961 she was Princess in the Queen's Court. She was also a member of Quill and Scroll, journalism honorary. The groom was graduated from Coral Gables High School and attended the University of Florida, and the University of Miami. He is a member of the Crescent Club. After a wedding trip to the North Carolina mountains the couple will reside at 8200 SW 124th St. MRS. JAMES McGEE

Freak Accident Injures Worker at Bird-Le Jeune
John Willins, 136 South Dixie Hwy., an employe of Troup Brothers was knocked down into a hole after being struck on the head by a broken air hose Saturday morning. Willins was working near the intersection of Bird and Le Jeune Roads when the freak accident happened. He was given emergency treatment by Coral Gables firemen and taken to a private physician.
