GEORGE T. SMITH Jeanne Ann Milam Marries

On a honeymoon trip through North Carolina with destination Tallahassee, where they will reside are Mr. and Mrs. George Tyrone Smith, whose wedding took place Saturday at the Shenandoah Baptist Church. The bride, the former Jeanne Ann Milam, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Harrison Spofford, of 2299 SW 16th Ct. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carey Clarence Smith of 814 NW 36th Ave. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor-length bridal gown of white nylon and organza, featuring applique of embroidered organdy flowers on the scoop neckline, and bouffant skirt. Her short bouffant veil fell from a crown of orange blossoms and she carried white roses and valley lilies. Wore Idential Gowns Mrs. Charles Jonathan Champion of Leesburg, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Miss Dannye Gibson, college roommate of the bride was maid of honor. They wore identical gowns of gold satin-faced peau de soie made sheath style with overskirt, and matching shoes. A single gold flower with veil were head pieces. James Robert Smith, brother of the groom, was best man. Ushers were Jack Hardy, Lloyd Evans, Cliff Owens, Frank Dodge, David Edwards, Bradley Owens and George Milam, brother of the bride. The bride's cousin, Kathy Lee Hay, Franklin, N.C., was flower girl. She wore a white organdy frock with gold cummerbund and hair ornament, and carried gold mums. Organ Music During the service, Bruce Hill sang "Because," and "If I Could Tell You." with Mrs. Carl J. Neal at the organ. The reception followed the service and was held in the church gardens. Miss Elinor Ready kept the bride's guest book and serving were Miss Mary Ann Pearson and Miss Judith Ann Penney. Both the bride and groom are seniors at Florida State University. The bride is a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and the "Flying High" circus. She is majoring in elementary school teaching. The groom, a pre-law and insurance major, is a member of the University track team. MRS. GEORGE TYRONE SMITH

'Coco' Gals Are 'Plum' Busy

Coco Plum Woman's Club was the guest group of the Suniland Center Brunch, last Wednesday. Present to accept a check for $70 from the Suniland Merchants Asso., was Mrs. Rita Davant, president. The club's largest community project is their free lending library, complete with the latest books, with a circulation of almost 14,000. The club also assists the Kendall Home, the Kendall Hospital, the United Fund campaign, and the anti-Communist movement by providing the club members with courses and classes.
