A GIFT SHOP at South Miami Hospital has been opened by the women's auxiliary. Mrs. Frank Myers (left) and Mrs. Henry Read, chairman, are two of the 21 volunteers who run the store. Revenues will go toward the elevator fund, an auxiliary project.

By Helen Reynolds Mrs. Malcolm MacNeill, 6160 SW 133rd St., South Miami, the new president of the Young Patronesses of the Opera, will be honored Saturday at cocktails and dinner at the home of Mr. "Opera" himself, Arturo di Filippi, and his wife, Lee, 625 SW 29th Rd., Miami. Sharing honors will be members of the Board of Directors, and the new Advisory Committee. ★ ★ ★ Yuletide Yummies is the name of the affair, members of the Southwest Methodist Church 6700 SW 38th St., will have from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9. There also will be demonstrations of gift making, according to Mrs. Glen Lynch, chairman. ★ ★ ★ Mrs. Rudy Fascell, 13070 SW 82nd Ave., will embark soon on a mission to Lima, Peru. That will be to join her husband Rudy who has been appointed to the U.S. State Department. Congressman Dante Fascell, is Rudy's brother. Leaving with their mother will be the three children, Buddy, June Marie and Judy, and their hound dog, "Tinkerbell." Member of and recording secretary of the Coco Plum Woman's Club, Mrs. Fascell has been wined and dined. Among the hosts and hostesses were Mrs. Hugh E. Gingras, Mr. and Mrs. George Root Jr. and Mrs. Paul L. E. Helliwell, a Coco Plum Club past president. Mrs. Fascell's bridge club of 250 members entertained at a clubhouse coffee and Mrs. James Davant, president of the club, was hostess at a board luncheon honoring their departing secretary.

New Building On 127th Ave.

A new store building is being constructed at 27950 SW 127th Ave. for the owner Jerome Eisenberg, of 1510 Trillo Ave., Coral Gables. Contractor is Graves Construction Co. Inc., of Miami. The one story, 54 by 60-foot building will be air conditioned and will have three stores.

First Silver Tea Held For Nursing Club

Mrs. George C. Hoover, 6750 SW 122nd Dr., opened her home from 2 to 4 p.m. yesterday (Wednesday) for the first annual silver tea for the Willie Holdren Memorial Nursing Woman's Club, where she served as first vice president. Also in the receiving line were Miss Patricia McCaughan, a June graduate of Notre Dame Academy, Miami; the club's president, Mrs. James Davant; Mrs. Robert Greene, scholarship chairman, and Miss Elizabeth Riebel, director of counselling and recruitment at Jackson Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. A fashion show showing women's fashions made only in Jamaica were shown.
