All breed dog obedience show coming to Dinner Key

The 55th All Breed Dog Show and Obedience Trial presented by the Greater Miami Dog Club, Inc. will take place Sunday, June 13, at Dinner Key Auditorium, South Bayshore Drive, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. It is one of the largest dog shows in the Southeast, attracting exhibitors from all over the country with as many as 105 different and rare breeds. Entry of up to 1,500 dogs is expected. Admission is $2 for adults and $1 for children. Information can be obtained by calling 274-3673 or 885-3063. Entries must be received by Wednesday, May 26.

clubs Auction for youth

The Tamiami Kiwanis Club will hold a public auction to raise money for its Youth Fund on Sunday, May 23, at K-Land, 9475 SW 88th St. (Kendall Drive) at 2:30 p.m. Money raised will go into projects for the youth in the southwest community. 4-H Banquet

The Dade County 4-H organization held its annual Leaders' Recognition Banquet Wednesday, May 19 at the Hampshire Inn on Sunset Drive. Ninety-six volunteer leaders were recognized. Each leader received a certificate of appreciation and/or a pin for his or her respective years of 4-H work. Two were chosen outstanding 4-H leaders for 1975-76 for their contribution to the 4-H program in Dade County. They are Mrs. Lue Nedar Ashley and Mrs. Elaine Wall. Mrs. Ashley has worked with a 4-H Expanded Nutrition Program Club for three years. Mrs. Wall has been a leader for one year. During this time she has appeared on television as a 4-H leader and has attended 4-H summer camp as an adult leader. Speakers for the evening were the winners of Dade County's Annual 4-H Spirit Award. They are Ronald Adams, Bill Mahoney, Debbie Smith and Barbee Snyder.

Women's Guild

St. Brendan's Women's Guild will hold its regular meeting Tuesday, May 25, in the cafeteria at 8 p.m. Newly elected officers are: Mrs. William Del Toro president; Mrs. John Nolan, first vice-president; Mrs. Ann Broughton, corresponding secretary; Mrs. Richard Turner, second vice-president; Mrs. Susan Meyers, recording secretary; Mrs. Robert Acher, treasurer, and Mrs. Roberta Dietz, parliamentarian. Two active members will be leaving: outgoing president, Mrs. James Norris and Jackie Hoisema.

Museum Patrons

The Museum of Science Patrons will hold its annual installation luncheon Monday, May 24, at the Coconut Grove Hotel at 11 a.m.
