Gables Pastors Return From Summer Vacations
The Rev. Harvey John Fritsch, who returns to his pulpit at the Country Club Christian Church, Sunday, after a month's vacation, attended the State Convention of Christian Endeavor Tuesday at Ft. Pierce attended by 160 delegates representing the youth of the Christian Churches in Florida. Mr. and Mrs. Fritsch also attended the World Convention of Christian Churches in Buffalo, N. Y. "Our lives," says the Rev. Mr. Fritsch, "were enriched when we met such men as Dr. Walter Judd, former medical missionary to China—now Representative to Congress from the State of Minnesota; Dr. T. Z. Koo, Chinese Delegate to the United Nations gathering in San Francisco, and then in Buffalo and in Detroit the fellowship of Dr. Perry Epler Gresham, pastor of the beautiful Central Woodward Christian Church, and Dr. Edgar de Witt Jones, pastor emeritus; by Dr. Elwood Nance, president of the University of Tampa, who addressed the 3700 Convention and who stated, 'Unless our experience in Christ causes us to be concerned with the welfare of others we might as well worship a pagan God or no God at all. If it's the real thing it's good for you and your community and world, if not, it's no good to you or anyone.' All in all," says Rev. Mr. Fritsch, "we return inspired to do a bigger and better job for our Lord." Bible school at 10:00 a. m. with classes for all ages. Christian Endeavor meets at 6:45 p. m.
veal God, as God who is interested in and concerned with and about man. In both Testaments we find that God cares so tremendously that He places in Christ His whole verse to Jesus, is to redeem for man. This complete self giving of God in Christ nas for its purpose the redemption of man. God in His concern is brooding over men, working night and day, without let up toward His own mighty ends, the salvation and well being of those who in faith commit themselves to God in Christ. He is seeking to rescue men from the dominion and power of evil and the burden of guilt. "If you think God in His care for men is more anything else other than man's redemption, there can be only misunderstanding between god and man. If you think God is after the preserving of some institution, or some favored ideology, then there is nothing but confusion out ahead. "Sorrow, or reversal in circumstances does not shut God out. God loves us no matter which way the wind blows. He cares no matter what happens. God has the greatest stake in this world. None other has put as much into it as He. It is unreasonable to think that God is indifferent about the vast investment He has in this world, and in the individual person. He is concerned about the stake he has in this world, and cares much for the individual person. He has given Himself in Christ on the Cross that the individual person may be a son of God. Let us then be convinced "Casting all your fears, cares upon Him for he careth for you (us)."

Among the citations which comprise the Lesson-Sermon is the following from the Bible: "Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture" (Psalms 100:3). The Lesson-Sermon also includes the following passages from the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy: "Man's individuality is not material... What, then, is the material personality which suffers, sins, and dies? It is not man, the image and likeness of God, but man's counterfeit, the inverted likeness, the unlikeness called sin, sickness and death. The unreality of the claim that a molar is the true image of God is illustrated by the opposite natures of Spirit and matter, Mind and body, for one is intelligence while the other is non-intelligence" (285:2-3, 7).

About ten per cent of the enrollees are from Dade County; 80 per cent from other states and 10 per cent from foreign countries. Courses in airplane mechanics, aeronautical drafting and design, radio, etc., gave Miami and its environs as their home addresses. The remaining ninety per cent have come from all over the United States—from such distant points as California, New England and Puerto Rico.
