Take Mom Out For Spaghetti Dinner
By EUNICE TALL MO 1-2294 Forget about dinner Tuesday evening Mom and let Dad take the family out to a full course spaghetti dinner at West Miami Junior High School, 5 to 7 p.m. in the school cafeteria. Price is adults, $1; elementary school children, 50 cents. Mrs. Percy Nunnery is chairman. Profits will go into the PTA treasury to be used for the benefit of students. Following the dinner a PTA meeting will be held in the auditorium at 7:45 p.m. Parents of the ninth grade students will attend an orientation meeting conducted by representatives from Southwest High School. They will be informed of the rules and activities of the high school in which their children will attend next year. The seventh and eighth grade student activities will be reported to parents whose children will be in these grades next year by various teachers in the school. South Miami Junior High A morning PTA meeting will be held by the South Miami Junior High School Association Tuesday at 10:30 in the school auditorium. Parents of sixth grade students in the following feeder schools to South Miami Junior High School will be invited to attend this meeting: Ludlum, Key Biscayne, David Fairchild and South Miami Elementaries. The meeting will be devoted to explaining the function of the PTA at a junior high school level. Members of the PTA board will explain their activities and responsibilities as board members in a junior high school PTA. A round table discussion will conclude the meeting. Members of the PTA and guests are invited to attend a coffee given by the South Miami PTA preceeding the meeting. The coffee will be held in the cafeteria at 10 a.m. Girls from the home economics classes will serve under the direction of Mrs. Susie Lee, teacher. Fairlawn Elementary The Fairlawn Elementary School PTA will hold a regular meeting March 21 at 3:30 p.m. in the school cafeterium, 444 SW 60th Ave. The emphasis will be on art education in the school. Cutler Ridge Elementary A panel discussion entitled "Dollars Down the Drain?" was conducted by the Cutler Ridge Elementary School PTA Tuesday at 8 p.m. in the school cafetorium. Guest speakers were Mr. Edward Hilgendoff, member of the school board; Mr. R. Snider, member of the school board; and Mr. Tom O'Connor from Metro. The guests discussed the following topics: school budget, school sights and the school new reassessment. A question and answer period concluded the meeting. Refreshments were served by the mothers of the third grade students.

Newlyweds In South Miami
Residing in their new home at 7100 SW 83rd Ct., South Miami, are Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Morningstar, whose recent marriage was solemnized in the Church of the Little Flower. The bride, the former Miss Marilyn Quinn, is a native of Prince Edward Island, Canada. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Morningstar, 8320 SW 141 St., and formerly of Punta Gorda, where he was a student at Charlotte High School. He left school to join the Marines and it was while he was finishing his tour of duty that he met his future bride. Double Ring Ceremony The Rev. Grogan officiated at the 5:30 p.m., double ring ceremony before about 40 close friends of the family. For her wedding the bride wore a ballerina length white organza gown with her voluminous veil falling from a coronet of orange blossoms. She carried a bridal bouquet of white French carnations. She was escorted to the altar by Victor Campbell, brother-in-law of the groom. Miss Carroll Campbell of Port Charlotte in a pale green ballerina length gown was maid of honor. Victor Campbell Jr. was the ring bearer. Best Man Ted Clore of Charlotte Harbor was best man. MRS. ROBERT H. MORNINGSTAR The reception followed at the Morningstar home. The bride and groom cut the decorated, three-tiered cake served with punch for the guests. After a brief wedding trip to Miami Beach the couple returned to their new apartment. The groom is employed by the Standard Oil Co.

Londoners Are Gables Guests
Eastern Airlines Capt. Jerry Wood and Mrs. Wood, of 1001 Coral Way, will have as their weekend houseguests Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Follows of London, England, who are enroute home after attending the International Pilots Association meeting in Mexico City. Captain Wood, former vice president of National Association of Pilots Association, met Mr. Follows, when he, Follows, was secretary of the British Pilots Society in London.
Biltmore Club To Have Show
Mrs. Cameron Justason, 5820 S.W. 48th St., was hostess last Thursday for the luncheon meeting of the Biltmore Heights Garden Club. The program at 9:30 a.m. stressed the importance of the approaching Metropolitan Miami Flower Show to be held next month. The subject was "How to Win Blue Ribbons," with the Biltmore Gardeners displaying their own Little Flower Show. Mrs. Robert Adams, of Miami, director of District 12, judged the entries and gave advice.

Stetson Senior Teaches Here
MISS GRENTNER Miss Judith Ann Grentner, 742 Paradiso Ave., a senior at Stetson University, has been assigned to Sunset Elementary School for her teaching internship. Miss Grentner entered Stetson in 1957 and will graduate this June. She is one of 52 Stetson University students to begin their internship in Florida public schools this week. She is a graduate of Coral Gables High School.
