Moody-Kessel Wedding Held at St. Brendan's
Mr. and Mrs. Merle L. Kessel, 7450 SW 39th Ter., announce the marriage of their daughter, Katherine Marie to Reese St. Claire Moody. The 1 p.m. ceremony took place at St. Brendan's Roman Catholic Church, and the couple pledged their vows in a double ring ceremony, with the Rev. Fr. Laurence Conway, officiating. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor length candle light gown of peau de soie, the bodice adorned with lace applique etched in crystal beads. The full skirt swept to a chapel train. And she carried a cascade of white roses. Miss Barbara Alu, was the maid of honor and the bride's only attendant. She wore a gown of white lace over blue taffeta and carried a nosegay of pink roses. Philip Kessel, brother of the bride, was best man, and ushers were Theodore Kessel, and Bernard Stein. The reception followed the nuptials and was held at the home of the bride's parents. Mrs. Kessel received in a teal blue organza dress with matching accessories. Mother of the groom wore a pink linen sheath dress with flowered pink organza overskirt. The bride is a graduate of Coral Gables High School, and was a fashion major at Florida State University. The groom served four years in the United States Air Force and attended Florida State University. The couple will honeymoon in Naples, and reside in Miami. Mrs. REESE MOODY
September Wedding Date Set
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Barchan, 2450 S.W. 21st Ter., announce the engagement of their daughter, Sondra Roberta to Ira Abramson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Abramson of Far Rockaway, L.I. An early September wedding is planned. The bride-elect, a graduate of Miami High School, attended Blue Mountain College, Blue Mountain, Tenn., where she was a member of Phi Sigma Tau sorority. She also attended the Charron Williams College, Miami. She belonged to the Debs group of the B'nai B'rith girls and was presented its Best Member award. Her fiance graduated from the Far Rockaway High School. He attended the University of Miami and received his B.A. degree from New York University. He was a member of Tau Epsilon Phi fraternity at college.
17 Colombians Will Visit Us
Fifteen students from Cartagena, Colombia, accompanied by a professor and his wife, will visit the University of Miami and Coral Gables July 8-16 under an exchange agreement which will see a similar number of UM students visit Cartagena 13 days later. Dr. J. Riis Owre and his wife will accompany the students to that South American Country, according to Dr. Ralph S. Boggs, director of the International Center and the Hispanic American Institute at UM. The Cartageneros will get a glimpse of American student and regular life by visiting with students and Gableites. Through the cooperation of the People to People Program, Inc., of Coral Gables, the visiting students will also attend picnics and other social events planned by Gableites. The city will furnish bus transportation to various spots.

Kings Bay Will Dine and Dance
The Kings Bay Yacht and Country Club will hold a dinner dance Saturday evening. Music will be provided by the George Hines Dixieland Band, featuring Charlie Carlisle and his comedy group. Cocktails will be served from 7 to 8 p.m. followed by a New Orleans Style French Cuisine dinner until 10. Dancing will be from 9 until 1:30.
