Claghorns Wed In Lutheran Rites
MRS. CHARLES DAVID CLAGHORN On a Florida wedding trip wit destination, Cleveland, Ohio, where they will reside are Mr. and Mrs. Charles David Claghorn, following their wedding Saturday at St. James Lutheran Churh, Coral Gables. The bride, the former Sandra Joy Cotton, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Wellington Cot 5990 SW 50th St. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Lesley Claghorn of University Heights, Ohio. Bride's Gown Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore floor length white delustered satin gown designed with fitted bodice, three quar sleeves and boat neckline. Embroidered Swiss lace medallions enhanced the bell skirt, the back of which swept into a chapel train with large cabbage rose of the satin at the hemline. Her voluminous veil of white silk illusion was shoulder length and fell from a crown of seed pearls. The bride carried her mor's white Bible covered with white orchids and carnations. Mrs. John Daniel Busey of Cutler Ridge, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Susan Sprague and Thelma Graham. Little Miss Debra Busey, niece of the bride, was flower girl. T r wore idential gowns of emerald green peau de soie, made ballerina length with full skirts, draped neckline and brief sleeves. Cabbage rose headpieces with emerald green tulle trim completed their costumes. They carried cascades of white carnations. Flower Girl The flower girl's gown, made of emerald green peau de soie, had a full skirt with ruffles of the material trimming neckline and sleeves. She carried a nosegay of white flowers. Fred Vantaggi of Cleveland was best man. Ushers were Steve Claghorne Jr., brother of the groom, and Joe Cotton Jr., brother of the bride. The Rev. Earl Hively officiated at the 4 p.m. candlelight service and the couple pledged their vows in double ceremonies. Mrs. Glenn Scott, godmother of the bride, was organist and Anne Marie Hirning was soloist. The reception followed at the home of the bride. White Orchids For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Cotton wore a royal blue peau de soie sheath dress with graceful over skirt. Her accessories matched and her corsage was white orchids. Mother of the groom chose a champagne lace sheath dress with matching shoes. Her headpiece was beige trimmed in coral. She wore white orchids. Among out-of-town guests at the wedding were Caroline Lassen of Toledo, roommate of the bride at college, Mr. and Mrs. Barney Claghorn and two young sons of St. Ptersburg and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Lemke of Cleveland. Native of Miami The bride, a native Miamian, is the grand-daughter of the late W. A. Spain, one of the pioneers of Coral Gables. She was graduated from Coral Gables High School, where she was a member of the National honorary and Spanish honorary societies and the French Club. She attended Wittenberg University, Springfield, Ohio, where she was a member of Phi Sigma Iota, national honorary. The groom was graduated from Heights High School, University Heights, Ohio, and attended Wittenberg University. He is presently credit manager of Sherwin Williams Paint Co. in Cleveland.
Club's Yule Coffee To Benefit Children
Mrs. John Montgomery, vice chairman of the Welfare Department, Coral Gables Woman's Club, will open her home at 4412 Santa Maria St. Tuesday for the department's annual Christmas coffee. The hours are from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. One of the money-raising events of the department proceeds will go to a single project providing refreshments for children at the Dade County Child Guidance Clinic. This clinic is the only accredited mental health clinic for children in Florida. The club has already donated $180 so far this year. There will be a fashion show at noon, with Don Mullen of Miracle Mile showing his collection. Modeling will be club members Mrs. Louis Stajdel, Mrs. Ted Mears, Mrs. John Halifax, Mrs. Gene Gabriel and Mrs. Donald Hoover, chairman. The party is open to all members and their friends-with donation $1. Mrs. Hoover, HI 8-8789, may be contacted for reservations or the clubhouse hostess, Mrs. Christine Meyer, HI 8-7080.
Lehmans Leave The Grove
Mr. and Mrs. Warren Lehman, long time residents of Coconut Grove, have moved to Tallahassee where they will be with their daughter, Mrs. Florine Lehman Way, a member of the faculty of Florida State University. Both Mr. and Mrs. Lehman were well-known in Coral Gables where they conducted their own real estate business until this year.

Senior Club Will Honor Junior Club
Mrs. Allan Frisbee of Coconut Grove, president of the Miami Woman's Club, and its Junior Woman's Club president, Mrs. John T. Thomas, will be hostesses at a luncheon Monday, when the senior club will honor the junior club. Mrs. Victor Griley, 1674 Nocatee Dr., will be the hostess Wednesday when the Junior Woman's Club will give its annual Christmas coffee. Mrs. Richard Warren is hostess. The public is invited. The Miami Junior Woman's Club, will man the new fall-out shelter (built on the grounds of the Senior Club) every Wednesday morning for school, social or club groups, Mrs. Cleare Filer, 1740 S. Bayshore Dr., will take appointments.
Wedding Plans Of Gables Grads Are Announced
MIS MONAHAN Mr. and Mrs. John Monahan, 7446 SW 84th Ave., announce the engagement of their daughter Alice Marie, to S. Edward Smith Christiansen V., son of Mr. and Mrs. S. Edward S. Christiansen IV, 6312 Riviera Dr. No date has been set, but a June wedding is planned. The bride-elect is a graduate of Coral Gables High School, where she was a member of Tallet Service Club, the French Club and a Superlative in her graduation year. She attended the University of Miami where she pledged Delta Gamma, social sorority. Her fiance is a graduate of Coral Gables High School, where he was a member of the Wheel Club. He attended the University of North Carolina; is presently in business and is president of the Equipment Supply Company of Hialeah.

Collegian Listed In 'Who's Who'
Mary Alexandra Hirsch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Hirsch, 3225 SW 59th Ave., Miami, a senior at Saint Francis College, Fort Wayne, Ind., has been selected for "Who's Who Among American Colleges and Universities." Miss Hirsch has served as state editor fo the Indiana Student Education Association, feature editor of the Yearbook, associate editor of the college's newspaper, "The Jongleur," vice prefect of the Sodality, vice president of the Student Council and member of the chorus among her many activities at the college. She is a graduate of St. Theresa High School. At Saint Francis College she is completing studies toward a major in English under the secondary education program.
