Coral Gables resident reelected president of temple
Mrs. William (Marty) Cleveland, chairperson of the 27th annual Mothers' March, called for last minute volunteers during the countywide event Jan. 21-23. Over 28 years the Mothers' March on Birth Defects has raised more than two million dollars to fight birth defects at Jackson Memorial Hospital. The money has also helped to pay for education and pre-natal care, so vital because about 250,000 children are stricken with significant birth defects each year. Mrs. Cleveland urged volunteers to call 649-1221, or contact their zone leaders to take part in the march. In Coral Gables the zone leaders are: Mrs. Edward Whigham, 1339 Coral Way; Mrs. Irene Neel, 5667 SW Sixth St.; Mrs. Ann Morbusch, 724 Madeira; Mrs. Eugene Mason, 845 Catalonia; Mrs. Tom Jacobs, 1010 S. Alhambra Cir; and Mrs. Ralph Gilstrap, 531 Santurce. In South Miami the leaders are Mrs. Bill Johnson, 5810 SW 89th Ct.; Mrs. James W. Goodrich, 7645 SW 83rd Ct.; Mrs. B.B. Weintraub, 6760 SW 62nd Terr.; Mrs. Leo Plotkin, 6080 SW 63rd Ct.; Mrs. Fleming Kendall, 7600 SW 71st Ave.; Mrs. David D. Fry, 6001 SW 81 St.; and Mrs. Sarah Kreps, 9845 SW 86th St.
Vice president
Theresa M. Moore has been elected vice president and treasurer of the Calvin and Flavia Oak Foundation with offices in the Ponce de Leon Building in Coral Gables. The foundation is a charitable trust interested in medical research.
