Miss Ella Clark Is Honored
Miss Ella Clark, bride-elect of Paul Andre, was feted last evening at a miscellaneous shower, the first of a series of parties to be held in her honor. The party, given by Evelyn and Barbara Zotter, cousins of the bride-to-be who will be bridesmaids in the wedding, was held at 621 Navarre. The decorations, refreshments, and cut flowers were in the colors of the dresses to be worn by the attendants in the wedding. In the center of the table on which the gifts were unwrapped stood a fifteen-inch figure of a bride. The figure was placed so that she appeared to be walking down an aisle. Petals from the various colored flowers fell on the satin ribbon which made the carpet on which the figure stood. The thirty-five guests were served at the punch bowl by Betty Paige Todd and Sue Harrison. The marriage of Miss Clark and Mr. Andre will take place June 5.

CORAL GABLES WOMAN'S CLUB FETES OFFICERS AND MEMBERS
Plenty of flowers, prettily garbed women and the beautiful setting of the Columbus roof furnished the background Wednesday for the annual breakfast and installation of officers for the Coral Gables Woman's Club. There were 350 present. Mrs. L. J. McCaffrey, president of the State Federation of Women's Clubs was the installing officer. Mrs. Reid Bronson, chairman of the day, and, also a past club president was toastmaster. After guests were presented, Mrs. Joseph C. Fox, president of the Junior department, gave her report and presented the senior club with a check for $100. Among highlights of her report was the statement that the club had cared for the dental needs of 260 children, through its free dental clinic; that approximately $638 had been spent on the re-established kindergarten at the Elementary school. Mrs. G. G. Lee and Mrs. Malcolm B. McDonald, both past presidents, were announced as junior life members. Mrs. Earl DeNoon, music chairman of the day, presented Mrs. William (Helen) Burruss, soprano, who gave two numbers and responded with a delightful Spanish number. She was accompanied by Eleanor Clarke Linton. Both Mrs. Burruss and Mrs. Linton, professional musicians, are club members. Mrs. William Cox, immediate past and new president of the Woman's Club gave a splendid report including such interesting figures as $2,300 earned from the two club projects, the fashion show last November and the bridge luncheon in March; that the club had sold 1,000 of its cook books and that the membership now stands at 481 with 43 members of the junior club included. The club also gave a total of $1,485.44 in gifts and donations during the year. Among changes in the by-laws as mentioned by the president was the advancement of the opening date for the first fall meeting changed from the first Monday in November to the third Monday in October. Mrs. W. Guy Finn was named state music chairman, a newly created office.
