Fatal Mango?

Milton Cobin hazarded the guess this week that it was a mango—not an apple—that Eve offered Adam. The assistant director at Fairchild Gardens pointed out to Coral Gables Breakfast Clubbers that besides being the "most eaten" fruit in the world the mango has been cultivated for a record-setting 4,000 years in India.

Make Safari

A joint safari to acquaint civic leaders with the tropic wonders on display at Fairchild Gardens will be undertaken Tuesday at 4 p.m. by members of the Coral Gables City Commission, Planning Board and Zoning Board. Executives of the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce, sponsor of the trip, will be hosts.
