Soroptimists Choose Luncheon Meeting Time, Twice Monthly; Name Their Charter Members

SPINSTERS TO HONOR NEW MEMBERS
New members recently admitted into membership in the Spinsters Club include Jean Roundtree, Alicia Brelsford, Peggy Mayer, Betty Miller, Martha Pancoast, Bunny Milner, Ellen Chester Dodson, Sally Palmer, Ann Avery and Barbara Etzel. A formal dance in their honor will be given tonight at the Miami Shores Country Club. President Rosemary Glomb and Peggy Wilson of the Spinsters Club are in charge of the party.
KAPPA DELTAS SET JULY DATE
Kappa Delta alumnae will hold their July meeting at the home of Mrs. James R. Willis, 5935 S. W. 42nd Street, Thursday evening, July 3rd, at 8 p.m. The president, Mrs. James C. Parrish, has announced the committee chairmen for the following year. They are: rushing chairman, Lamarr McKee; social chairman, Mrs. Paul A. Davis; magazine chairman, Mrs. L. MR. AND MRS. CLUB CELEBRATE ONE YEAR
About 28 members of the Mr. and Mrs. Club of the Coral Gables Congregational Community church plan a dinner at 7:30 p. m. tonight in the lounge of the church. The event is in celebration of their first year as a club. A business meeting will follow and all members are urged to be present. Hosts and hostesses in charge of the dinner and entertainment include Mr. and Mrs. Harold Rosser, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Billings and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Vuncannon.
Sponsors S. A. Trip
Mrs. Herberta Leonardy and Mrs. Mary A. Coover will sponsor a group of 10 Dade County teachers on a trip to South America. They will leave Saturday by Pan American Airways and the group will study at the Nacional University in Bogota from July 13 to August 23. Mrs. Leonardy just finished attending the National Educational Association meeting at Cincinnati. She is president of the Dade County Class Room Teachers Association.
To Wisconsin
Mrs. George Anderson accompanied by Mrs. Lloyd Park left yesterday by motor for Wisconsin Dells, Wisc., where they will stay at the Crandall Hotel. Mrs. Park plans to stay only a few days and then go by plane to Chicago for a visit and will arrive in Montgomery, Ala. for her mother's birthday anniversary July 18.
William Reynolds Wilson And Bride, The Former Helen Dent Giersch, Leave On Extended Wedding Trip
Mr. and Mrs. William Reynolds Wilson, III, are on an extended wedding trip of three months, which will include visits with kinfolk in Newnan and Atlanta, Ga., also Texas. Upon their return both will enter the University of Miami. The marriage, which united families prominent in the South as well as in Philadelphia took place Saturday in the First Methodist Church and was followed by a reception at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard F. Giersch, 1538 Avenue Mendavia. For her wedding the former Miss Helen Dent Giersch chose ivory satin and lace with an ivory illusion veil worn with an heirloom christening cap. Her flowers were gardenias, stephanotis and orchids. Dr. J. H. Daniel performed the 5:30 p.m. service and, following a tradition in the bride's family, Miss Irene Patti sang "For You", which was sung at the bride's mother's and sister's weddings. Lelia Hall presided at the organ. Attendants Wear Pastels Mrs. Lyman G. Watt, sister of the bride, the former Miss Elizabeth Giersch, wore pink taffeta made with draped skirt off the shoulder bodice long matching mitts and carried pink talisman roses with matching head dress in her role of matron of honor. Miss Suzanne Flemming, maid-of-honor, was gowned in pale yellow with matching flowers. Bridesmaids Gloria Farver, Miss Muriel Fisher and Miss Helen Stevens all wore simililarly made costumes of blue taffeta and carried bouquets of pink roses. Edward J. Allen was best man for Mr. Wilson and groomsmen were Jack Vivian, Anthony Von Rhau, George Okell, Jr., Delbert Wells, Jr., and William Prahl. At the reception Mrs. Giersch received wearing a blue-green draped model of crepe with corsage of purple orchids. The bridegroom's mother wore a pale yellow crepe dress with black accessories, white orchid corsage. Mrs. John F. Burke and Mrs. H. Dent Wells, sisters of Mrs. Giersch, greeted the 300 guests at the door. Assisting about the rooms were Mrs. George Wood, Mrs. Raymond Fisher, Miss Ruth Sullivan, Miss Barbara Harbin, Miss Harriet Quillian, Miss Pat Farver and Miss Joan Mack. Miss Nancy Tierce kept the bride's book. During the reception the special recording of the church ceremony was played. The bride attended the Elementary schools Ponce de Leon High School and was graduated from Miss Harris' Florida School, where she was literary editor of the Frond and a member of Pi Sigma Phi sorority. She is a past president of Tequesta society, Children of the American Revolution. Mr. Wilson is the son of Mrs. Roy S. Cason of Miami and the late William Reynolds Wilson II, of Philadelphia. He is a graduate of Ponce de Leon High School and is a student at the University of Miami. His father's family were descended from members of the assembly in Philadelphia.
FLETCHER H. BURKE MARRIES MISS WALLS
Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher Hamilton Burke have returned from their wedding trip following their June 9 marriage and are residing in St. Paul, Minn. Mrs. Burke is the former Miss Margaret Alin Walls, the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Milton Guernsey Walls of St. Paul. The candlelight marriage was performed in the gardens of the home in the late afternoon with the Rev. Eugene O'Moriaty of St. Paul's Seminary reading the service. The bride wore a white starched embroidered organza gown with short train, Rosepoint heirloom veil and carried a bouquet of Lilies of the Valley. Her pearl necklace was a gift of the groom. Miss Frances Finck in blue starched organza was maid-of-honor and Thomas Eulie Burke was best man for his brother. Mr. Burke, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Hamilton Burke of Coral Gables, attended the University of Miami, where he was a member of Sigma Kappa and Phi Mu Alpha national music fraternity. He received his master's degree in music at the University of Arizona.
EXECUTIVE BOARD TO ENTERTAIN NEW MEMBERS
The executive board of the Coral Gables Woman's Club will hold its postponed board meeting at 10:30 a.m. July 10 in the club house, in place of July 3rd as scheduled. The change of date was made in deference to the president, Mrs. William Cox, who is attending the National Convention of Women's clubs in New York City. Following the meeting, the board members will entertain at luncheon the ten new members admitted recently to the club. They are: Mrs. R. H. Eggleston, Mrs. John Pressley, Mrs. Eva Perrin Van de Elst, Mrs. Russell Hyde, Mrs. George Nagle, Mrs. William Friedemann, Mrs. S. M. Connally, Mrs. Robert Ward, Mrs. Roger Eikenberry, and Mrs. Lou Woodard.
SILVER WEDDING BELLS — Bride and groom of 25 years ago are Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Kelley Jr., of 12 Avenue Alcantara who were feted on their anniversary Tuesday with a surprise party given by their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Lauritano, Coral Gableites for the past 23 years Mr. Kelley, member of the Coral Gables fire department, as well as Mrs. Kelley, holds many a record in pistol shooting.
