Christian Science

"UNREALITY" is the subject of the Lesson-Sermon which will be read in Chrches of Christ, Scientist, throughout the world on Sunday, October 5. The Golden Text is: "The hills melted like wax at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth. The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory" (Psalms 97:5, 6). Among the citations which comprise the Lesson-Sermon is the following from the Bible: "They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint" (Isaiah 40:31). The Lesson-Sermon also includes the following passage from the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy: "The meaning of that passage is not perverted by applying it literally to moments of fatigue, for the moral and physical are as one in their results. When we wake to the truth of being, all disease, pain, weakness, weariness, sorrow, sin, death, will be unknown, and the mortal dream will forever cease" (218:29-2).
