Dr. Larson is speaking on "What you Have Plus Christ" will say in part,—"At the moment of decision for Christ, and the yielding to Him for salvation and life it is quite certain the commitment is absolute and complete. Such consecration of complete devotion to Christ makes sufficient the individual, for everything that may come to him. Furthermore, it person shall find a sufficient resource for achieveing every God implnted possiblity, and the accomplishing of the Divine plan for his life. But the tragedy is that we soon begin taking back, and so limit the degree in which Christ is the positive factor in our lives. To the degree that we take back, to the measure with which we limit the devotion to Christ, to that extent we are whipped, defeated Christians."

Country Club Christian

"Modern Evangelism" is the message of the Eleven O'clock Morning Worship Service of the Country Club Christian Church, 1099 E. Ponce de Leon Blvd., worshipping in the Woman's Club adjoining the Public Library, Coral Gables. Returning from a week spent in St. Petersburg where he attended the Institute on Personal Evangelism held at the Mirror Lake Christian Church, Rev. Fritsch is confident that a new day for Evangelism is here. "Personal work is not new," says the Rev. Mr. Harvey John Fritsch, Pastor. "Andrew, when he had found Christ, immediately told Peter. The New Testament Church had its beginning and enjoyed its greatest growth because the early Christians were personal evangelists. Personal Evangelism died out for a while because while it is effective it is also exacting. We may discuss the time of day with our friends or perhaps the issues of the hour, but when we speak to a man about his soul we, ourselves, must be Christians, men and women filled with the love, power, and zeal of Christ, with a burden for lost souls upon our hearts." The church is planning to begin an organized effort of Personal Evangelism in the very near future.

Among the citations which compose the Lesson-Sermon is the following from the Bible: "This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses . . . Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified both Lord and Christ" (Acts 2:32, 36). The Lesson-Sermon also includes the following passage from the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy: "First in the list of Christian duties, he taught his followers the healing power of Truth and Love. He attached no importance to dead ceremonies. It is the living Christ, the practical Truth, which makes Jesus 'the resurrection and the life' to all who follow him in deed" (31:12-17).
