St. Theresa's Home and School Association plans a roast beef dinner from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the school cafeteria. Mrs. Ruth McMahon is ticket chairman. Also the St. Theresa Home and School Association will hold an open house event Feb. 4 from 3 to 5 p.m. when parents may visit classrooms. ★ ★ ★ Rosemarie Kascher, a 1958 graduate of the University of Miami and a music major, is home on furlough from Japan, and may be reached at the Wesley Foundation on the UM campus, according to Mrs. E. G. Harris, of 660 Davis Rd. Rosemarie taught music and English at Kwassui Junior College in Nagasaki, Japan, after taking missionary language and training courses. ★ ★ ★ Mrs. Albert Peterson, 4921 Riviera Dr., was installed Monday as the 1962 corresponding secretary of the Miami Parliamentary Law Unit. Mrs. Herberta Ann Leonardy, Fluvia Avenue past president of the National Association of Parliamentarians was the installing officer. ★ ★ ★ Mrs. Peggy Neighbors Erwin, 414 Valencia Ave., will demonstrate (with her pupil), "How I Teach a Private Lesson," Feb. 2 in the Dixie Room of the Musicians Club. Joseph Tarpley, associate Dean of the School of Music at the UM, will conduct a question-answer period following the demonstration. ★ ★ ★ Alpha Delta Kappa, (international sorority for women teachers) is putting its 14 chapters to work to raise a $500 gift scholarship to aid a Dade County high school senior to attend college. To that end the group will sponsor a fashion show luncheon Saturday, 1 p.m., at the Coral Gables Country Club. ★ ★ ★ The alumnae chapter of Delta Delta Delta sorority will sponsor a book review, with Mrs. Frank Kerdyk the speaker at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Mary B. Merritt Panhellenic Building, Room 102. The public is invited and the donation $1. Proceeds go to the Alphia Chi scholarship fund.

Gableite Has Lead In 'Swan Lake'

A 17-year-old Coral Gables girl has been chosen for the lead role in "Swan Lake," which will be presented by the Miami Ballet April 28. Adrienne Allen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Allen of 1510 Siena Ave., will dance the Swan Queen in the Miami Ballet's annual performance at the Dade County Auditorium. Adrienne, a senior at Coral Gables High School, has been studying ballet for seven years. To prepare for her role, she studies dancing every afternoon with Thomas Armour, artistic director of the Miami Ballet. This will be the fourth year Adrienne has performed with the company. Other Coral Gables residents who will appear with the Miami Ballet this year are Margo Schneiderman, Mimi Golfman, Sandra Zundell, Patty Lewy, and Jessica Engel of the Junior Company. Dancing with the Senior Company are Nanedd Eversole, Judy West, Renee Zintgraff, Jeffrey Engel, and David Rogers.
