Marion Lovett, Teacher at Ponce de Leon Junior High School, visited Carlsbad Caverns, National Park in southeastern New Mexico, while on Sabatical leave. ★ ★ ★ Members of the Coral Gables Civic Club will hold their March 8 luncheon meeting at noon at the Coral Gables Woman's Club. Olive (Mrs. M. S.) Farrar, 1143 Andalusia Ave., flower arranger, will demonstrate. ★ ★ ★ Army Reserve Lt. Col. Claude D. Holmes, Jr., 3419 Anderson Rd., has completed a two-week refresher course at the Medical Field Service School, Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Holmes, 329 Romano Ave. ★ ★ ★ John R. McElwee, son of Mr. and Mrs. James F. McElwee, 57 Campina Ct., is serving aboard the USS Stormes, as a machinist mate, third class. He participated in the recovery of "Project Mercury," orbital space flight. The Stormes is one of 40 U.S. ships on station in the Atlantic for the operation. ★ ★ ★ Anyone for Shakespeare? Tryouts for the Southern Shakespeare Repertory Theater will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. March 9 at Beaumont Lecture Hall, UM campus; also from 9:30 a.m. to noon that Saturday. Dr. Delmar E. Solem executive director of this year's festival, says performances will include "Twelfth Night," "Julius Caesar," "Hamlet" and "The "Tempest." ★ ★ ★ "Let's Do It Again" is the repeat theme of the annual cabaret members of the Coral Gables Junior Woman's Club will present Saturday at 8:30 p.m. at Bayfront Park Auditorium, Miami. Mrs. Joseph Pereno, 198 Sunrise Ave., first vice-president of the club, wrote the continuity of the calendar theme as show chairman. Mrs. John Thompson, 1132 Placetas Ave., is in charge of tickets. Nadine (Mrs. Carl) Hoskins, 803 Coral Way, is exhibiting her work at The Gallery in Ft. Lauderdale, with a preview scheduled for today, (Thursday) from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

MRS. J. S. Garrison won the roll-your-own-cigaret contest last weekend at the Coral Gables Country Club's square dance.
