Dorothy Woods Weds Georgia U. Student
MRS. RICHARD WAMMOCK Dorothy Sharon Woods, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Frank Moseley Woods, 825 S. Alhambra Circle, was married to Richard Hoke Wammock of LaGrange, Ga., in a Christmas candlelight ceremony Dec. 22 in the Plymouth Congregational Church, Coconut Grove. The bridegroom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Hoke Wammock. Both parents of the bridegroom are medical doctors. For her wedding the bride chose a gown of white silk peau d'soie, with re-embroidered Alencon lace applique, dotted with seed pearls. The bodice featured a scooped heckline and fitted point-to-hand sleeves. The controlled bell skirt was caught in pleats at the center back and fell to an aisle-wide train. The bride carried a bouquet of white Fuji chrysanthemums with touches of gold. Her four-tier pure silk illusion veil fell from a matching pillbox hat. Lydia Wammock, sister of the bridegroom, was maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Patricia Swanson, Susan Esslinger and Donna Bradshaw. The best man was Frank Young. Ushers were Lt. Frank M. Woods Jr., the bride's brother, Charles Gentry, William Fretwell, Emory Williamson, and Lamar Wammock. The bride is a graduate of Coral Gables High School and is an honor student at the University of Georgia. She is a member of the Junior Assembly, Twenty Little Working Girls, Coral Gables Country Club, the University Yacht club and Alpha Gamma Delta social sorority. The groom attended Darling-ton Preparatory School and is a senior at the University of Georgia where he is vice-president of Chi Phi social fraternity. After a two-week wedding trip, the couple will be at home in Athens, Ga.
Marilyn Kaufman Engaged
MARILYN KAUFMAN Mr. and Mrs. Richard O. Kaufman, 1215 San Ignacio Ave., announced the engagement of their daughter Marilyn to Larry Dale Southard at a party for friends and relatives last Thursday night at their home. Larry is the son of Mrs. Dale H. Southard, 351 NE 103rd St., Miami Shores, and the late Capt. Dale H. Southard. The engaged couple attends Florida Presbyterian College in St. Petersburg. She is majoring in religion and he is studying psychology. Miss Kaufman is a gradu-uage of Coral Gables High School. Her fiance is a graduate of Miami Edison High School. She is a member of Beta Sigma Phi, business women's sorority. No date has been set for the wedding.

Mrs. Herman Fultz, 738 Camilo Ave., is being visited this week by her two nephews Joseph and Bruce Powers Jr. Bruce is a junior at Mercer University, Macon, Ga., where he is a junior majoring in religious education. He is also minister of music at Tatnall Square Baptist Church, which is also called the "church on campus." Joseph is a sophomore at Florida State majoring in business education. Both are graduates of Miami High School. They are also visiting their mother, Mrs. Bruce Powers at 1525 S. Bayshore Dr. New members of the Coral Gables First Methodist Church are Mrs. Berta Parker, 8760 SW 20th St.; Mrs. Bessie Myrick, 1132 Obispo Ave.; Mrs. Pauline G. Lamb, Barbara Kathleen and William Eugene Lamb II, 5755 SW 48th St. This brings the total membership to 3,928.

Mrs. John Irwin, 327 Menores Ave., is entertaining an old friend Mrs. Gertrude Kipp, from Daytona Beach, for the holidays.

The Ray Belands will be leaving 222 Camilo Ave. sometime soon to move into their new home at Boca Raton. He is a retired auto parts distributor from Niles, Mich. He and his wife went retirement prospecting in California for several years but instead chose Florida. Why has he picked Boca? "We like the small-town quality of it," says Mr. B. He's become known to a number of Gables businessmen while making up his attendance at the local Rotary Club these last few months.
