The Coral Gables Times

THESE BROTHERS were among scores of people who flocked to downtown Coral Gables this Christmas season to see the display at Merrick Park across from City Hall. The display is a toyland-type affair with a little ferris wheel, merry-go-round, a Santa house and little choo-choo train to mention just a few.

Thief Tunes in Her Radio, But Juliet Takes It in Stride

Ever hear of a polite thief? Juliet Clark has and told us about it when she came into The Times office last week to pay her subscription bill. It seems she was working late one night recently at the VA Hospital, where she's secretary for Archie Millis, assistant director. After work when she unlocked the door to her 1957 Chevrolet, parked on Columbus Boulevard and Malaga Avenue next to Congregational Church, she discovered her car radio missing. Apparently whoever stole the radio had managed to unlock the car door for there were no signs of forced entry, said Mrs. Clark. But the thief, or thieves, politely locked the car door again after taking out the radio. Did she report the missing radio to the police? "No," Mrs. Clark said matter of factly in a soft, Southern accent, "I never used the radio."
