The Roger Eikenberrys of 460 Hardee Rd. are having a happy Christmas with the arrival home of their daughter Rowe and son-in-law Eddie Hinton. The Hintons and their 2 1/2-year-old daughter Kathy have just moved to Miami from Tallahassee where daddy has gotten his degree at Florida State. He'll be with the Juvenile Court of Dade County and they'll be with the Eikenberrys until they find a home. ★ ★ ★ Carol Harding, 3720 Toledo St., will take part in the entertainment presented at the annual Delta Gamma Mother-Daughter Collegiate Coffee Saturday. Miss Harding will accompany a trio of singers on the piano. The party will be at the home of Mr. Robert Welsh, 1430 S. Bayshore Drive. Two Delta Gammas, who are also real-life sisters, Ann and Susan Dinsmore, 600 San Juan Dr., will attend the coffee. Each Christmas, the local Delta Gamma alumane invite Miami girls and their mothers to a party to meet their sorority sisters from other colleges. The local alumnae group was recently given an award by the Florida Society for the Prevention of Blindness for its work in sight preservation. ★ ★ ★ Mr. and Mrs. Irving Denis, 7425 SW 134th St., celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary at a party at their home Dec. 23. About 40 people joined the couple for dinner, eggnog and a cake given them by their daughter Joyce, who's our Gables High School correspondent.

Elliot Messing; son of Mr. and Mrs. Max Messing, 40 Veragua Ave., will be Bar Mitzvah Saturday at 9 a.m. in the Main Sanctuary at Beth David Congregation. Elliot is in the 8th grade at Kinlock Jr. High School where he is a straight "A" student. ★ ★ ★ Marine Private Frank M. Gillingham, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank G. Gillingham, 1022 Manati St., completed recruit training Dec. 12 at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C. His training included instruction in basic military law, discipline, physical conditioning and other military subjects. ★ ★ ★ The power of the press, The Times, has even reached into Texas. Donald E. Mathes, who lives in Houston, saw the picture page we ran recently on a distant relative of his, Dr. Frank Alfred Mathes, minister of Granada Presbyterian Church. The Texan has written us for extra copies of that issue.
