Studio 'S' Serenata Club For Voice Problem
The opening of the Studio "S" Serenata Club offers local residents the opportunity to examine and correct voice problems. The club is located at 6250 Sunset Drive, South Miami. Owner-director is Faith Shoup, better known to radio listeners as "Sleepy Time Gal." The first of the all night female disc jockeys, Miss Shoup launched her career interviewing celebrities and localites at a small restaurant in Miami Beach known as "Mammy's." Studio "S" Serenata Club is Miss Shoup's answer to those who requested instruction in her techniques. Fully equipped, the Studio is a plush setting where students can have private or group instruction. Augmenting Miss Shoup's own theories of voice modulation are tape recorders, playbacks and loudspeakers which will graphically illustrate speech and sound faults geared to improvement and progress. Short or long term courses are available with instruction hours geared to the convenience of groups or individuals. Miss Shoup will also bring her equipment to meetings or private homes. The social aspect of the club will be emphasized by weekly get-togethers highlighted by "sound shows" and refreshments. For information, call MO 1-9525 or MO 7-9349.
"MIRROR, MIRROR, ON THE WALL," whispers little Maria Greenfield, as she wonders how she'll look as a "Golden Ring". That's the part the pupil at Coral Terrace Elementary School will play when she and other first and second graders presented a Christmas program at 7:30 p.m., Dec. 20. Maria was dressed in a large, gold-colored paper bag and carried a huge, gold ring. The show's coordinators are teachers Anita Taylor and Jill Philbrick.

South Miami Lions Club Will Brighten Yule
Less fortunate children who might not ordinarily know the joy of getting a gift for Christmas or the thrill of seeing Old St. Nick will have their chance. The Welfare Committee of the South Miami Lions Club has seen to it. The committee has sent invitations to certain children that hvae come to its attention and asked them to come to a special Christmas party Dec. 22. And when the children walk into the clubhouse at 7310 SW 62nd Pl. at 7 p.m., there'll be Santa Claus with both arms loaded with gifts. The South Miami Lions Club is selling Christmas trees from 1-10 p.m. at 6110 SW 72nd St.
Moon National Monument
Moonlike craters, cinder cones, and ice caves, which pock 75 square miles of the Snake River Lava Plain in Idaho, form Craters of the Moon National Monument. The area lies along the Great Rift, a 16-mile series of fissures that have repeatedly spewed fiery rock, the National Geographic Magazine says.
TAKE A LITTLE SOLDIER BOY and have him bow to a sweet, young maiden. Have her curtsy in return and there you have the makings for a performance Dec. 20 when Pam Manfred and James Holmes and their classmates entertained at Coral Terrace Elementary School.
Peace on Earth good will to men
Nigh on to two thousand years ago, Christ the Prince of Peace was born. The greatest gift from God to man is ours forever. It is our Christian custom to celebrate this festival by the giving of gifts to those we love. Christmas is a day for giving... a time of joy for us all. Even though we are unable to give material things to all those we love, we can give a more priceless gift, the gift of love to our fellow man, something of ourselves. A smile, a helpful word, the warm hand of friendship. For love divided multiplies. We pray we may show more good will to man so that there may be peace in our world. Richards
