Remember all those trampoline centers which bloomed in our area last year? Well it looks like they've gone the way of the hoola-hoop with two more of the bounce-lands folding this past month... South Dade and South West Miami business and professional men have organized co-operative councils with the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce to push for the growing needs of the suburbs. The two new groups will be known as the South Dade Council and the Southwest Miami Council and will work together with the Chamber to push for more suburban recreational facilities, promoting suburban business, etc... The big West Dade Citizens Association—a civic group—has been working toward a similar program... University of Miami Alumni Association has sent out an SOS for graduates to help in putting courses on tape recorders for blind students. All that grads have to do is read the text material onto tape recorders and then it is sent to the various institutions for the blind... Coral Way Jewish Center on Southwest 87th Avenue is now forming cotillion classes in the eight to 18 age group for this spring. Mrs. Barbara Kaye of Coral Gables is spearheading the classes... Latest rashes spreading through the suburbs are measles, mumps and chicken pox. Have fun, dear parents... Here's a special note to the suburban Mah Jongg crowd (which should be every other house in suburbia)... the 1961-62 National Mah Jongg League cards are now out and the 1961-1961-1961 bouquet hand with two flowers has returned to the game. Well I'll be bambed, cracked and dotted!! MISCELLANEOUS MEMOS: The stretch on Palmetto bypass between the Trail and Coral Way should be opening within the next month... Did you ever wonder what happened to Barbara Shane, the girl who copped more beauty awards and titles at the University of Miami than any other person? She is now the wife of prominent builder Neil Schiff (Harrison Homes, Capri Homes, etc). They are residents of the Southwest suburbs... Or the Dena Radoff, the charming redhead who starred in dozens of Miami High and University of Miami dramatic products a few years back? She's now behind the curtains as a housewife in Coral Way Village as Mrs. Robert Parent, (hubby's a bank executive) and has two youngsters... Or to the long-haired teenagers who keep hanging around West Dade drive-ins 'til all hours of the morning? They're still there. We'd like to find out where their parents are... Four West Dade Civic groups will honor builders Sheldon Kay and Harold Moss (Westchester Homes) via the plaque route, for putting up a fence at their own expense around the canal running near Everglades Elementary School on SW 16th St... Aroused by the many recent canal deaths, the now-building Westbrooke Country Club has scheduled a Teach The Children To Swim program as one of its initial projects.

The monthly meetings of Flagami Elementary School PTA, 1100 SW 76th Ave. will be held Tuesday April 11 at 8 p.m. The film "Operation Abolition" will be shown.
