BONNIE ANDERSON | Bonnie Anderson Will Be Bride On June 17

BONNIE ANDERSON Mr. and Mrs. Mervin F. Anderson, 6286 SW 10th Ter., announce the engagement of their daughter, Bonnie, to Mr. David T. LeDuc, son of Mr. and Mrs. George A. LeDuc, 210 NW 27 Ct. Miss Anderson is a senior at Southwest Miami High School and a candidate for graduation at Southwest Miami High School and a candidate for graduation in June. She is a member of National Honor Society, Co-operative Business Education, Future Business Leaders of America, and is a part-time secretary for Robert M. Brake, an attorney in Coral Gables. Mr. LeDuc is a draftsman and a part-time engineering student at the University of Miami. He was graduated from Miami Technical High School, where he majored in aviation and sheetmetal. They will be married on June 17 at St. Michael's Catholic Church.

Wedding Plans Are Announced For Summer

Col. and Mrs. Leonard M. McNutt, 1106 Placetas Ave., are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Mary Lynn, to A. Gerald Torchia, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Torchia, 5989 SW 80th St. A summer wedding is planned by the couple. The bride-elect was graduated from Coral Gables High School and attended the University of Florida for three years, where she pledged Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. She is presently a secretary at the University of Miami. Spanish was her major at Florida. Her fiance was graduated from Coral Gables High School and the University of Florida where he majored in advertising design.

Aid To The Blind Is Alumnae Project

Mrs. James Dezell of Coral Gables, president of Sigma Alpha Iota alumnae club, and Mrs. Fred Rice, program chairman, will preside at a meeting of this group Monday to be held at the home of Melanie Markarian in Hialeah. Braille Music will be the subject of the program, one of SAI's new national projects, because of the great need of writers and trained workers in Braille and equipment. SAI is an honorary professional sorority, one of the oldest on the campus of the University of Miami, founded in 1926. Mrs. Rose Swanson, SAI province vice president, organized the program to be presented. Teaching the blind through technique with or without the use of Braille will be demonstrated by Marty Forster, an 8-year-old blind student of Merle Sargent. Beatrice Hunt will talk of Braille in chorale and group work and available materials for use and study. Mary Davies will explain the Braille alphabet, fundamental music, notation and the writing and reading of Braille melody line.

Junior Women Fete Mothers

Members of the Coral Gables Junior Woman's Club presented their annual "Honoring Our Mothers" luncheon program meeting at noon Wednesday at the clubhouse. Old fashioned nosegays of flowers decorated the tables. Chairmen for the occasion were Mrs. L. L. Haskins, contact; Mrs. J. L. Brasington, dental clinic; and Mrs. C. W. Thompson, social.

Campfire Dedication

Florida Federation of Women's Club officers and more than 300 Campfire Girls will dedicate a Youth Forest in Ocala National Forest Jan. 28 at 11:30 a.m. Speakers will include Mrs. M. Lewis Hall, FFWC president from Coral Gables, and R. J. Riebold, Florida Supervisor of Florida National Forests.
