Gables Kiwanians toast 50 years of service
The Kiwanis Club of Coral Gables will celebrate its Golden Anniversary Tuesday, May 11, with a banquet and dance at the Country Club of Coral Gables. The club was founded May 11, 1926. The Golden Anniversary celebration will feature an address by past international trustee Charles M. Roberts, of Ft. Myers, Fla. Florida District Governor William A. Thacher, of Lauderdale, Fla. will present the charter to the new Kiwanis Breakfast Club of Miami.
Ladies day
Monday, May 10 is Ladies Day at Cutler Ridge Regional Shopping Center. A free movie will be shown at 11 a.m. for the first 500 ladies in the Cutler Ridge Cinema, and $25 gift certificates will be given away every 15 minutes from 11:30 to 2:30 p.m. Ladies are asked to stop by the shopping center office between 9 and 11 a.m. to pick up gift certificates and movie tickets. The shopping center is located at U.S. 1 and SW 200th Street.
Seniors meet
Florida Senior Citizens Club #3 will meet Monday, May 10, at 12:30 p.m. at the First Federal Bank, 2750 Coral Way. A speaker from the Coral Gables Police Department will talk about "Crime and the Older Citizen," and a discussion will follow. Visitors are welcome.

Speakers Laurel Bird and Bill Hemmer will talk about the island of Dominica.
Homemakers
The South Miami Extension Homemakers will meet Monday, May 10, at 9:30 a.m. at 6700 SW 38th St. The program "Emergency Treatment for Heart Attack," will be presented by Mrs. Ruth Bowers and Mrs. Pilar Fox.
Horticulturists
The Horticulture Study Society will have its annual members' plant display Wednesday, May 12, at the Museumof Science auditorium, 3280 S. Miami Ave., at 8 p.m. The public is invited to attend and learn about the plants on display. Guests are invited to share refreshments with members in celebrating the society's 20th anniversary. Rummage romp
The Producers, a volunteer organization formed to raise funds for the Players Repertory Theater, is holding a rummage sale this weekend on the grounds of Riviera Presbyterian Church on Sunset Drive. Everything imaginable will be on sale Saturday 'til 6 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.
