SM man named "Kiwanian of the Year" at banquet
Officers inducted Lawrence (Mac) McCarty was named the "Kiwanian of the Year" for 1975-76 at the Kiwanis Club of South Miami's 23rd Annual Installation Banquet. Officers inducted for 1976-77 were Marlon Willson, President; Grady Hinton, President-Elect; Raymond Sullivan and Charles Crowder, Vice Presidents; and William Rowe, Immediate-Past President. Directors installed were Don Drescher, Mike Esses, Ed Ghezzi, Earl Herrold, Milt Rapport, Jack Richmond Ray Risavy, Hal Sackstein and Dick Wilbourn. The officers took office in October and will serve the club in its 24th year.

Parents weekend Among guests at the University of Tampa's Parents Weekend campus functions were Mr. and Mrs. Dwain Andrews and their daughter, Gail. The Andrews family live at 8420 SW 58th St. Gail Andrews is a UT senior who serves as resident advisor for one of the campus dormitories. Mr. and Mrs. Richard C. Coe of 11801 S. Mitchel Manor Cr., were among approximately 190 parents attending Parents' Weekend at Southern Seminary Junior College in Buena Vista, Va. Their daughter, Patricia Jane is a freshman at the College. Class enrollment Richard L. Nelson, son of Mrs. Joyce B. Nelson of Coral Gables is enrolled at Shorter College in Rome, Ga. Alan Hayes Simon has enrolled at Northfield Mount Hermon School in East Northfield, Mass, for the 1976-77 academic year. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Symour J. Simon and is a member of the sophmore class. Docent council The Docent Council of the Zoological Society of Florida recently graduated 12 candidates for the Docent-tour-guide program at the zoo.
